It was great. John Rubenstein's music was great in the first season. He also played a minor character. The characters were great. My favorite ever television family. I liked all of them, except for maybe the older sister who had moved out.

I thought the actress who played the mom was very classy and good looking for an older woman. Matthew Broderick's father (James Broderick) played the father.

I didn't see the show much in it's original run, but I remember an episode from the last season where Buddy kept dreaming about a bouncing ball in the street at night. That episode really freaked me out. You only saw truly scary stuff like that in the 1970's. Nothing has scared me as much as old 1970's drama's, mysteries, made for TV movies, etc.

My memory is so terrible! :sigh: :)
I know I used to watch the show and it was one of my favorites, but I don't really remember much at all about it.
I remember Buddy, play by Kristy McNichol and an older brother named Willie and some younger girl named Annie, but thats about all I remember.
I guess I will have to get the dvd's so it will all come back to me! :)
