Falling leaves in September

Walking in the forrests green feeling the wind on my face I had a moment of profound inspired grace. The leaves came falling down and looking down on the ground they fluttered around my feet. Looking up decending in a cloud color cascading covering me with glory. I stopped stilled by this lovely event of nature , muture multicolored leaves of yellow red and green filling the forest so thick obscuring the sun for a while. And I felt so small like one of those little leaves myself. I could not find the trail and I thought to myself that this is the first time for leaves to fall at that point In time with the wind chilling and killing those little leaves. I am here now at this point In time when they first began to fall. What a .moment the first few little leaves falling down to the ground. Autumn has arrived. I am still stopped by the spectical of these leaves.I must be moving on . I picked up one of those leaves to remember the moment. Few people can say that they saw the precise moment when Autumn began, I am still.

That is how it is with our thoughts, the leaves of our inner tree. The chilling wind of temptations turns them into passions: the yellow fever of greed, the fiery red of fleshly lust and the flashy green of vanity that appears healthy on the outside but is rotting inside*. When they fall, that is when our thoughts give in to temptation, they obscure the spiritual Sun for a while and we lose sight of the trail that leads to Heaven. But no need to despair. When moistened with the spring tears of repentance and composted by the conscience's worm, they will offer ample nourishment for spiritual growth: a contrite heart, a more modest way of life and a better understanding of our weakness. Indeed, only the still can perceive the change of their thoughts when Autumn began.
