Fable help!!

I am stuck...I started a new quest...the one where you save the grandson out of the hobbe cave...well found the cave...got 1000 gold out of it...got to the boy..where I was then informed I could not have him until I had another human take his place...Please Help! How do I finish this quest?

The easy way to do it is go somewhere and hire a fighter to help you then you can offer that fighter as replacement. That will give you evil points, however. Or you can just attack her and when she is dead the boy will go with you.

Getting the little beggar out of the cave alive is quite another challenge. lol The way I finally ended up doing it was just dashing through the cave, completely ignoring the hobbes and when you get to the exit and leave an area, the boy will be with you at the entrance to the new area.

ah...Thank you for the advice...I swear I thought about that..but, wasnt sure if I could teleport a fighter. Thats how I ended up getting all the way through the cave was just ignoring the hobbes..there was just too many...of course stopping at chests when I seen them...Finally I can finish this quest!!...Thanks again...I have to admit..I am normally not that into video games..that is til morrowind came out and I got hooked..but, fable...it is an awesome game...graphics are good...and I like the general story line...it has a bit of mystery to it....for once I am finally guided my husband through quests and showing him things he didnt know about games...before it was the other way around

I ignored the Hobbe Cave quest, and now it's no longer available.

Did you guys know that that your Hero can marry men? But if you do that, you don't get a dowry after the wedding, lol.

In my opinion it is not worth buying. Go for Halo 2 instead (althogh that was a bit disappointing as well). A rent maybe, but not a buy.

Yeah..my husband just recently rented halo 2 from movie gallery...he liked it very much..but he is the opposite he enjoys fable better...probably cause we have it and he able to play it all the time...I couldnt get into halo 2, like i said I am not a big gamer..but I do like fantasy kind of stuff...I like computer games more...like the sims and neopets....oh, heres something that you maybe interested in if you like to read..my husband is on book #2 of halo and he loves the series...says they are very interesting...so heres my next help question...yall know I had one coming..on the quest to save the arch. at the boat doc..how do you kill those things with the huge red staffs. they block like crazy..my guy doesnt have alot of magic power yet and I dont have enough points to up him...I do have a level 2 on lighting..which doesnt seem to help...and I have a obsidian great sword with flame augmentation..cause I already used my lightining and pierce augmentations on my obsidian greataxe I had..got it first...so what is good to kill them?

I know that lady grey wants you to bring her a present...and I recently found out that it is a black rose that she is wanting...so how do I come about a black rose?

I came across it in a store once... it's in the Bowerstone region.

But she'll also want a necklace, which is hidden in Oakvale.

Alright finally finished the arch. quest..then did the quest for taking the one guy to get his head chopped off..now onto another quest...thanks everyone for your help...still curious as to where that black rose is..I still can't find one...but, my best find yet..was behind the demon door that is in front of the hobbes cave..finally got my combat level high enough to go in..has to be over 14..and got a cutlas bluetane sword 161 hit points...best sword I got and came with a lightening augmentation already on it..cool huh.

ACK, that was the most frustrating and difficult door to open for me.
