CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, back, Tricia; we got the cold here, too.
Don't have plans today, just getting ready for the week.
Went to the 2nd hand store last night w/no kids...it was fun, but they closed early
so I might go back today. There are a few within close proximity of each other, and I find such cute things for baby and me. (For some reason, my 5 y.o. has gotten more hand-me-downs from neighbors than I have ever seen in my life!) The boys, well, after they turn about 8, you cannot find anything good in their size in thrift stores...they wear them out!!

I am home today too, but only because my car was dead this morning...argh!!! I have so much year end stuff to do this week and I have lots of shifts at the restaurant too so taking this unscheduled day off is really frustrating!!! Oh well, I am making the best of it and I am making a huge pot of turkey/veggie soup.
I may have to brave the snow and walk down to the grocery store in a while....brrrrrr, we got about 3 inches and it's still coming down.
