Experience with Stalkers?

I was recently thinking about stalkers and was curious if anyone here has dealt with them. How did you deal with them? what was some of the most horrific things they did? what advice would you give to help others escape them?

I actually have dealt with a stalker and it was very unsettling. It left me feeling slightly paranoid and physically ill when I would "bump" into him. He would take video and pictures of me and several other ladies. Several times he was caught hiding in bushes. I had a few run-ins with him where I would be walking to class and NO ONE was around and then I would hear a noise and turn only to find him behind me. He also used social media to keep tabs on me or any of the other women he was stalking. I don't know all the details but the school I was attending at the time did not allow him to return the following semester. I never saw him again.

It really was and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
