  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Tonight has been a night of many prayers for me. But God in His infinite Wisdom has chosen to answer in a way different from my desire.

There is nothing more to pray. All I can do is pray like Jesus now and say, Not my will, but Thine be done.

That was hard for Jesus, one night, and He sweated great drops of Blood. Tonight I have done my sweating. Now I give it to Him, because If I prayed my prayer now it would be like the last one Jesus prayed on the cross, and I would say, into Thy Hands, I commend my spirit.

But it is not yet my time. Tonight I am tired and defeated, but tomorrow comes.

WOW!!! AWESOME Alta! You have stirred me to action. lol! Know what? I am not in favor of women Pastors, but you certainly should Preach! I would love to see what you would do with a group of women in a women's conference. You can forget the men. They would not hear a word you said. lol!

But you are right! I am tired of satan taking what is mine and kicking me in the teeth. From now on, I am going to carry a BIG STICK and beat his brains out for a change. :D&nbsp; Thanks for the gentle chiding and good advice. It is at the end of ourselves, that we finally find the real strength of the Lord. It is when we give up hope for ourselves that we find hope in the Lord. It is when we give up in defeat that God makes us into winners for His sake.
