If you are a Christian then this will help.
1 Corinthians 15:39
All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

If you are not a Christian then I'll say this.
If you would like to view this from a mathematical standpoint then I have a little thing for you to think about. Suppose you had 20 dice; each with a letter of the alphabet on them, and you wanted to roll them and get them in alphabetical order. There is a 1 in 2.4 x 10 to the 18th chance of that happening. Pretty slim huh?
Well we have 206 bones in our body. The probabability of just 200 of those bones coming together in order is a 1 in 10 to 375th power chance.

Also I would like to add that if evolution were true why aren't there any "missing links" to other species such as evolution says there are between ape and man? We only see whole dogs, whole cats, whole horses, and so on.

1. Evolution is hard to believe considering how EXTREMELY complicated everything is. (Just take gene programming...)

2. Evolution has been around for only 200 years and has not been proven yet. The links are missing. The layers of earth have the complex and simple bones buried together.

3.Evolution claims that God didn't create things.

Evolution is: "nice try buddy, but that's not what happened"

Why reject Evolution?

I reject evolution because I don't find it scientificly sound.

The only way I can see anyone accepting evolution is that they first reject creation, and despirately need something to answer the question of where we come from.

A despirate 'grasping at straws'.

That's an awful analogy. It only proves that the complexity of life we see today couldn't have arisen by random chance. Well, guess what? Evolution agrees! For evolution to work, there must be a nonrandom function that weeds out the bad results and keep the good ones - which is exactly what natural selection is.

To go with your dice analogy, a better version would be this: suppose you had 20 dice; each with a letter of the alphabet on them, and you wanted to roll them and get them in alphabetical order. Any die that rolls the correct result is kept, whereas any die that gives the wrong result is rerolled (the selection mechanism). The longer you keep rolling, the closer the chance of getting the correct result approaches 1:1.
Everything can't come out of nothing. Eller hur?!

Why reject Evolution?

If I don't reject evolution I will have to reject what is written in Genesis that the universe came into being by God's direct creation. If I reject what is in Gen.1, I will also reject what is written in in Gen 3 about the origin of sin. So then in my mind there would be no such thing as sin. Then I don't need a Saviour either. Nor do I have to obey His laws. Then the whole Bible becomes irrelevant to me. Just a useless old book 2000 years old. Then I can live as I please. Then it's survival of the fittest. I can rob you or murder you if I please, whose to say I can't? What right does anybody have to tell me what to do?

I wonder where the lawlessness so prevalent in our society came from???

Because otherwise it becomes a whole complicated mess of trying to figure out how to justify believing evolution and the Bible at the same time.

And the whole human complexity, very slim probability thing. That plays a pretty big factor too.

Ben Stein has produced a movie re evolution called "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" that is to be released in Feb 2008 which speaks of Darwinism being taught as an enforced ideology & of scientists who question it as being blackballed. Try to go to yahoo movies and search for this film it does not even register. Something is not right about this, if Darwinist establishment is so confident why can this film garner publicity & receive conventional criticism that may be leveled against it?

Why reject Evolution?

I don't reject evolution.

It is my understanding it is a theory based on evidence and observation. I don't see it as a threat to my faith, understanding of the Bible, nor my belief.

Sincerely,

OldChurchGuy
