As far as rejection of the evolutionary theory, just the Creation Research Society alone has over 700 advanced-degreed scientists as members (Im the CRS webmaster). I know plenty more who are not members but are YEC. This doesnt even account for the OECs or IDers, which probably represents a much greater number. Just in my own community I know plenty of scientists who know the neo-Darwinian theory is wrong, they just dont talk about it because, why risk your job? Yes, there is still a majority of scientists who believe evolution, either because they want to despite the evidence, or the many years of brainwashing. But there is a significant minority of scientists who have rejected neo-Darwinism, including Nobel Laureates. Are there any Nobel laureates who believe in a flat earth, or claim Jesus never existed?
Finally, there has not been a single useful discovery of science that required belief in NeoDarwinism. In fact it has done the opposite, created bad science that led to bad decisions (i.e. premature tonsil removal). Ive talked to scientists in a variety of fields, and they all say the same thing belief in evolution doesnt help them do their job. In other words, finding oil in a formation doesnt rely on the evolution theory. Sequencing genomes doesnt rely on evolutionary theory. Creating medicines, identifying viruses, identifying fault lines, etc, etc. Evolutionary theory is a joke and plenty of scientists recognize it, but most dont speak out because it is such a dearly-held religion of the secular scientific community and they dont want to lose their funding, jobs, etc.
