I define Evolution as the belief that animals change into other animals.

Your definition is quite inaccurate. Populations evolve, not individuals.

The best definition I've ever heard of Evolution is this by Richard Dawkins - "Evolution is the non-random selection of randomly varying replicators"

God spoke. Well back then, they (early people) were kinda simpleminded on sound and vibrations. Speaking was the best thing God could say instead of saying something along the lines of this. 'To answer your question Moses, (he wrote Genisis i think) about how everything was created, I just Caused the strings and other p-branes to vibrate with a force that no human understands. These vibrations caused matter. It did this by (part i do not under stand) and then these formed particles, both real and force, are created. First off, Jenny, stating or implying that a member of the forum who claims to be Christian is not Christian is against the rules of this forum. Second, you don't need to accept the entire Bible as literal truth to be Christian. Many different Christian faiths have many different interpretations on what the Bible says. The commonly accepted litmus test (to copy Deamiter for a bit) for being Christian is the ability to truthfully recite the Nicene Creed. Third and finally, it is far more likely, historically speaking, that large portions of the Bible, particularly the earlier portions, were intended as allegory and not literal fact. Given that some of them contradict observations made about the world around us, it is almost certain that this is the case.

The earth could be "millions" of years old. There is a huge amount of evidence to indicate that the earth has been around a while. Of course the old earth that was here before was a lot different than the earth that is here now.

There is no verse in the Bible that declares the earth isn't extremely old. the time period between Genesis 1:1-2 and verse 3 is unknowable. However, evidence exists that shows that the basement rock of the earth was formed rapidly no matter when it was first formed.

For example during the ice age there was a lot more land down south and a lot more ice up north. Things have changed quite a bit in the last 12,000 years.

Do you believe that there were huge herds of woolly mammoths during supposed ice ages that wandered around with hair for protection against the cold but, no means of finding a sufficient food source able to supply them the tons of food they needed every day for sustenance? Ice ages is a ridiculous notion.

Anyway, Genesis isn't allegorical in the way I suspect you mean it. That is, normally a person by allegorical implies that the story is merely a device and as such, a fictional account. However, with God the book of Genesis can be allegorical while yet being historical. This is one of God's signatures. For example in John 9, Jesus used the blind man as a allegory of all men who are blind (namely the Pharisees who argued with him the whole day about it). It is a very instructive chapter in an allegorical way. I have coined such a use of histrorical as a "living parable". So, although the Genesis story is historical nevertheless, the story is full of allegrical components. Which by the way is why Genesis is superior by far, to any other account of creation and the days that followed it. The story is chocked full of deep philosophical issues. The difference being that the philosophical issues are laid to rest as opposed to the endless debates of ungodly philosophers who question even their own existence.

I'll remember that next time a creationist posts something about the number of Americans who don't agree with evolution.

But majority can indeed be an important factor when it's a majority in a population of people who know about what their opinion is based on.

If it is true that the majority of the American population doesn't believe in Evolution, this is not an especially important statistic because that population is not, as a whole, particularly understanding about what they're disagreeing with. If the majority of scientists disagreed with evolution this would be statistically important because the reasons for this figure are deep and far-reaching.

If the majority of Christians feel a particular way about their faith then, as with the above example, this is potentially important because of the far-reaching reasons as to why. However, if the majority of Muslims or Hindus had an opinion about the deep-workings of Christianity this would not be considered so important because they may not be invested enough or have learned enough to be able to make a meaningful analysis. As it is, however, creationists are the minority fringe.
