  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Nothing in this world (concerning the human race) is ever just physiological or psychological. At the core of every issue is a spiritual reality. And that is why merely physical and psychological and educational and political methods will never be enough to deliver humanity from its many problems.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood…” (Ephesians 6:12)

“‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” (Zechariah 4:6)

okay, so knowing your premise to be true...

what should we do to understand, interact with and promote the spiritual reality in this world?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well -- I guess a good start is to read and believe the Bible. It is a spiritual, supernatural book from beginning to end. Part of faith is expectation ("the substance of things hoped for") -- if we don't believe the supernatural accounts in the Bible, we won't expect them to happen in our own lives. And if we don't expect them to happen, they most likely won't.

And this is somewhat controversial, but I believe people need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and from my experience, as well as my understanding of Scripture, people can be saved and not yet have this baptism (Acts 8:15-17). This is such an important thing, because when we see the power of the Holy Spirit operating in our lives, it is much easier to believe in spiritual realities vs. mere physical/psychological ones. For example, I knew someone who was struggling with severe depression and ongoing thoughts of suicide. God showed me that he was being demonically oppressed, as well as what kind of spirit it was -- and when I commanded the evil spirit to go, the man was powerfully and completely delivered, the depression left and never came back, and he never had another thought of suicide. And he could have been going to psychological counseling and been medicated for years and not found freedom (I am not seeking to condemn anyone who uses medication or gets counseling -- I'm just saying that sometimes, there is a better way). Experiences like this go a long way towards convincing ourselves and others that there are spiritual realities at work in the world.
