  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does anyone here have tips on how I could help bring people to Christ at my school? The three main problems that I run into are:
1- People who don't believe in God to begin with
2- Poeple who don't trust the authority of the Bible
3- People who can't be bothered to think about religious issues to begin with, because they are more concerned with having fun and day-to-day affairs.

All three of those are very hard nuts to crack, so to speak. Anyone who has experience or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you read some good books on apologetics, learn how to answer the difficult questions you may get and familliarize yourself on how to show the authority and validity of the Bible and God himself.

That is not an easy task. I am just learning myself, but one thing I do reccomend is The Way of the Master. There is a tv show, books, audio, these guys, Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort explain things in a way I have never heard before and it is phenomenal! Theres a website and free videos to watch.

On this page, watch "Hell's Best Kept Secret." Its about 36 min long but its definitely worth it.

The three people you mention sound like some of the hardest people to ever witness to. But then, I am new at this too.

Perhaps an invitation to church or a youth group party would be something to try?

As far as the 3rd type person,
3- People who can't be bothered to think about religious issues to begin with, because they are more concerned with having fun and day-to-day affairs.
Perhaps you should read to them a verse in the Bible that specifically talks about them?

2 Tim 3:1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

I wonder how hard it is to reach some of these people? Especially teens, no offense. Our culture is a selfish one, people are programmed to want more, take more, be more... "its all about ME".... its even on t-shirts. Teens seem to be a big target for Satan.

I wish you well as you go among these people. Study hard, know your Biblical truth well, pray and trust God. He will be with you.
