For those who need additional markers to show that we are in the end of days and nearing the return of Christ let us recall His Words about the Euphrates River:
"The voice said to the sixth angel, 'Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River!' The four angels were released; for this very hour of this very day of this very month and year they had been kept ready to kill a third of all the human race. I was told the number of the mounted troops: it was two hundred million."
Revelation 9:14-16 GNTD
"Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great Euphrates River. The river dried up, to provide a way for the kings who come from the east. Then I saw three unclean spirits that looked like frogs. They were coming out of the mouth of the dragon, the mouth of the beast, and the mouth of the false prophet. They are the spirits of demons that perform miracles. These three spirits go out to all the kings of the world, to bring them together for the battle on the great Day of Almighty God."

And what is the current state of this river?
As you can see there is still a little bit of life left in this river, but it won't last for very long. If you type in "water shortage 2040" on Google you'll see floods of articles all over the world of people fearing how water shortages will affect them...but they blame it on climate change...and do I believe in climate change? Why yes! God is indeed changing the climate to punish sinners so that they might repent, but the world doesn't see it that way but, Jesus Christ also foresaw this in Revelation:
"Then I heard a loud voice speaking from the temple to the seven angels: 'Go and pour out the seven bowls of God's anger on the earth!' The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth. Terrible and painful sores appeared on those who had the mark of the beast and on those who had worshiped its image. Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast. Darkness fell over the beast's kingdom, and people bit their tongues because of their pain, and they cursed the God of heaven for their pains and sores. But they did not turn from their evil ways."
Revelation 16:1-2, 10-11 GNTD
So we see that the drying up of the Euphrates river will occur in the 6th Year of Daniel's 70th Week! And we know this because this is around the time of the Great Tribulation where the Beast will force the world to accept or reject it's Mark/Number of It's Name. Therefore each of these 7 Signs of Judgement will hit the world the hardest at this time and become more painful as we near the return of Christ Yeshua! And this is in keeping with the pregnancy analogy our Lord used...the labor pains would become sharper and more frequent the closer we get to the birth of the baby: or in the case the Second Coming of Christ.
