Personally I think judges's theory seems to be the correct one (even though it is complicated). If I understand correctly; Dee Dee and the judge have reached the same conclusion. Have I understood it correctly?
Strange, since today we have guns and back then they didn't. How would they kill themselves back then? [/B]

And even if you are correct the stories still are different: Because Matthew claims it was called the "field of blod" because it was bought with bloodmoney and Peter claims it was called the "field of blod" because Judas's guts spilled out over the field.
Pardon me brother, but I must say: So what? How does your findings show that it is in fact one story with no contradictions?Acts 1:19 states "And all the residents of Jerusalem became acquainted with the facts, so that they called the piece of land in their own dialect--Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood."
Akeldama means "field of blood" it is also explained as "a field purchased with Judas's betrayal money, located near Jerusalem". (the KJV New Testament Greek Lexicons)
Sometimes one must go deeper than just the surface verses to find the meanings and explanations.

Every few weeks or so some new member comes along and amazes us all by "finding" a contradiction in the Bible. Well, surprise, surprise all those so-called contradictions were found hundreds and hundreds of years ago and have been addressed more times than I can count. For example, at this [Link] is a website that goes through the entire Bible book by book, verse by verse, answering all these so-called "contradictions". Don't like this one? Go to your web browzer thingy and type "Bible Contradictions Refuted" and you will find more sites than you can shake a stick at.9th February 2003 at 12:05 AM Homie said this in Post #1 (http://www.christianforums.com/showthread.php?postid=640514#post640514)
In the 1st chapter of the Acts Peter says that Judas Iscariot died by falling when walking in his field that he bought for the 30 silver coins, his guts spilled over the field and that is why it is known as the field of blood.
Act 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
Act 1:19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
But in the gospel according to Mathew Judas throws the coins into the tempel because he regrets what he has done. The priests buy a farm for the money, bloodmoney, and therefore the field is called the field of blood. And Judas dies by hanging himself. What story is correct?
Oops, sorry:osnerkel

Homie, if you think the Bible is filled with contradictions you may want to read the rules for this particular forum, casting doubt on the Bible or Christianity disqualifies you from this forum. There are other forums at this site which permit these views.

The difference is between someone saying as in the title of this thread an "Error in the N.T." and "I don't understand" or "I'm having problems with", etc.. If someone states as a matter of fact that there are errors in the Bible, as was done here, then they should not be in this forum.Today at 07:50 AM kern said this in Post #31 (http://www.christianforums.com/showthread.php?postid=655584#post655584)
Utter nonsense. Many frequent Christian posters would be "disqualified" if this were true. Questioning the Bible does not mean you aren't Christian.
