My life is getting crazy busy, and I've had enough of citing sources and getting generic replies and people reasserting the same old tired strawmen arguments as if they were accepted as valid the first time. Enough for now. I may reengage later - but I've had enough of the intellectual elitism and folks not willing to engage the topics, but only wanting to insult and put down. I hope and pray other folks get sent in for some battle there -- I don't want the lurkers and newbies to think there are not solid answers -- but I've had enough for now.
I will probably post in this forum once in a while.
I could see starting a few threads in the OT forum for balance....
"Theistic Evolution Hurts Christianity" -- a thread about how the liberal misinterpretation of the Scriptures robs them of authority, accuracy and meaning.
"When does Theistic Evolution fail" -- a thread about how TE fails to fully account for transitional fossils, about how biologists consistently ignore or fight signs of incredible design, about how conventional geology cannot properly explain the fossil record and geologic column because it fails to account for the titanic events required to make deposits miles thick and hundreds of miles or more in size, how fossils which do not agree with the conventional theory are explained away or ignored, etc.
"Creationism is a FACT!" -- God said it. FACT. Explains the evidence better than anything else. FACT. etc.
"How do I ignore evidence (for TEs)?" About the bias in interpreting the evidence, about the bias in universities, about the bias in professional journals, about the ignored evidence for young earth, etc.
"The fate of TE as a scientific theory" -- talking about how the more we know about nature the more it becomes PLAIN that this is a wonderfully designed world. About the growing number of scientists who are not willing to blindly accept evolution, etc.
"Why are we so hard on TEs?" About the problems of compromising Scripture, about the perils of ignoring the evidence, about the problems associating intellectually with atheistic notions, about the side effects in evolutionary theory throughout the other sciences, as well as throughout our culture, etc.
"When is it time to abandon a sinking ship (TE)? When it stands against the truth -- both of Scripture and the evidence.
I'm not setting this up as a rule -- I may well post in various places. But for sure my mood right now is to not post much for a good long while -- and to stay away from the disrespect and intellectual elitism and insults in the OT area.
