Perhaps most striking about these two verses is how early on God communicated His coming judgment to the world. But the reality of the judgment ought to soberly remind you of how holy and loving God really is. It ought to compel you not to judge others. It ought to bring comfort to you as a saved Christian about your salvation. It ought to cause you to live a holy life. Not only is this topic needed, but we ought to keep it in the forefront of our minds until that Day comes.
