  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well the whole breastfeeding thing did not goes as planned...long story..but, she did get some breast milk the first two weeks. Well we have put her on enfamil with lipil rec by her doc..I am looking at the cans and see that they have points located on back...does anybody know what these are used for....I looked on the site and seen nothing...btw...if you use the ready to use formula in the can, as we do, Toys r us has them over .50 cheaper than most other stores...I looked on the internet at some other sites of very old posts from a couple of years ago that say they are no longer using them.

I don't know anything about points. My best guess would be for schools, you know how you can turn in labels for schools? Are you on the WIC program? My husband and I don't have a lot of money so when we gave up breastfeeding to switch to formula, the WIC program saved us about 120 dollars per month in formula...

I wanted to get on the wic program..cause my cousin uses it and said it has saved them bunches on formula...I went to our state web site page for more info and they had a chart system for how much money you make a month to qualify and we dont qualify. I was expecting to breast feed and when it did not happen the way we planned..we learned that formula is really expensive and I couldnt believe just how much my little one can go through in a week! The Lord has really blessed us though...I am not kidding...I have to praise our Lord on this...my husband recently got a raise during the time he was off for the birth of our child..during this time we realized that we were gonna have to formula feed...so we revised our budgets to make small cut backs here and there to make up for the formula we would have to buy and we prayed and left it at that...when my husband got back to work he found out that the raise he got was just enough to cover the expense of having to buy formula..so basically we still have the same amount of money every month..the Lord always provides a way..I thought that was so awesome! Had to share.

Not sure, we use Similac Advance. But I took a look around for any info and found next to nothing.

If they were in use I'd imagine that there would be some prominent information.

I did read something from a mother who bought a toy with her enfamil points, had to save up a LOT of them though. The post was on a forum and it is dated Feb 14 2000 so that is quite awhile ago. Its possible they have been phased out.

But a company who phases something out usually removes it from the product or packaging thats what confuses me.

Call them :)

Yep..I read a few web sites about them and saw that the posts were old...I emailed them to find out..I am still saving them ...in some small hope that I will get some free stuff out the points..like coupons or some baby gear...thanks for the help though...I was just curious if anyone knew with the deal was with them...I think maybe they leave the points on there even if there is nothing to use them on..so people like me that look for stuff like that will buy the product thinking I will get something back..lol..then we by the time we find out the down low on the points we realize they are useless...oh well useless points or not I still am stuck with enfamil...our baby doc has changed her formula once before and this is the only one she will take..she cried when we recently changed it..til we put her back on enfamil....useless points :( Thanks all for your help..I will post if they email me back :)

Thanks blue for the # I really appreciate it..I tried to pm ya a thank you..but, it wouldnt let it through....here is enfamil's reply they emailed me:

We appreciate your interest in our Enfamil (R) promotional offers,
which may sometimes incorporate the points from our labels. At this time
we do not have a program available that uses the points from our Enfamil
Family of Formulas (TM) packaging. It is up to you whether or not you
wish to continue to save the points toward possible future promotions.

Kind of seems pointless to hang on to points...if there are posts floating around on the internet from two to three years ago...I agree..why put the points on there..if you can't do anything with them...very strange.
