  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Energy booster suggestions please.

This is my third pregnancy and I'm almost 2 months along, but towards the afternoon, I am feeling really tired. I work full-time and have 2 toddlers at home and I worked during my first 2 pregnancies as well. I never drink caffiene during the pregnancies, but do any of you have any food solutions to boost my energy? I was thinking I should have some fruit in the afternoon, maybe that would help. I'm sleeping 8 hours at night and I feel fine until about 2 pm. I'm having a little nausea, but not severe morning sickness so I'm eating regularly.

Take a nap :)

Really that is all I can suggest, building a baby is hard work, you need MORE sleep than normal, more water, more food (though not that much food actually) and More breaks.

Take them and realize delivery offers great boosts to energy, oh but then you have milk to make (weather or not you plan on using it) and a baby who cannot sleep thru the night (meaning you can't :).)

Get the toddlers to sleep at a regular time together, and lay down too. Then you should be good to go close to the rest of the night. (even if you don't sleep get a book and lay down) When you wake up feeling like you need anothe couple of hours, then have the fruit. preferably with some longer lasting carbs (and or protien)

Also try dropping an activity or two, put your feet up for a afternoon book with the tots, sit down to snack with them instead of trying to do dishes or something.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'm probably overdoing it. My husband wants me to exercise everyday so I stay in shape, but frankly I feel too tired, So I'm doing a 10 minute little workout and that's it. I know I need to be eating healthier and more often. So I think I'm going to head to the grocery store at lunch for some healthy snack foods.

Tell your husband he can carry the baby! sheesh, stay in shape indeed, chasing toddlers and building babies burns more calories than he will in two days, if he is so worried about it, he can go work out!

(and yes you will get the body back afterwords, if you are that dedicated now, you will)

This pregnancy is bound to be harder than the first two. Not only have you gotten a little older, but you also have, in addition to job and exercise, small children demanding your energy output! My goodness, little ones can demand a LOT!

You're doing better than me, that's for sure. I haven't even attempted to give up caffeine, though I'm down to half a cup of coffee most mornings. But I do have the occasional afternoon tea to perk up if I don't have time for a nap.

But do remember... you're sleeping for two! :)
