end times

i have some questions of the end times. ive read the left behind collection (adult and juniors) and read revalation several times. alot of it is all in figurative lanuage is it or i dont know, complexly writin...to complexly writing...

ok. jesus came to earth, died, rose again, went to heaven - that was the first coming.

ive gone to sunday school sometimes and theyve always made it sound like jesus second coming he'll do the same thing. but after reading left behind and my bible, its obvesously not the way it will happen...

ok. is the second coming the rapture, when all the christains leave and go to heaven. when you die, your soul goes to heaven, not body. so will there be a bunch of christains bodies left all over the place? or will are bodies disapper to? children under the age of understanding will leave. will unborn babies leave aswell?

after a new leader will arise. is that leader the devil? or when he dies rises again and claims christ will he be turned indewelled by him?

theres that whole blowing of the trumpet thing. what???

is this just the seer talking, or is this a versus like the above.

These are interesting questions to ponder, newlite.

I would suggest this would be a good point in time to step back and understand that all Christians do not interpret Revelation the same way. In fact, most of the questions you are asking are only applicable to a view of the apocalyptic scriptures (Revelation and Daniel) that is held by a minority of Christians around the world. Before going into these details, get oriented to other Christian views. I think the book The Meaning of the Millennium: Four Views would be a good book for you to read at this stage. After that, if you are persuaded that one of these views is correct, you can explore all its ramifications and details to your heart's content. But first I think a broader orientation would be helpful.
