OK, I've been coming up to snuff regarding Sacred Tradition and think I am getting a handle on it.
My understanding is that Encyclicals and Councils set Dogma because they clear up mysteries and sharpen our understanding of the Sacred Scriptures.
So my question. Has an Encyclical or Council ever been repealed or clarified further. Part of the reason I ask this is the topic of Vatican II shows up here on a regular basis and is challeged. Was Vatican II considered a "Council" or were Encyclicals issued from it that have become Dogma?
