  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It is taking a life by using aborted babies. I am a pro life God never makes a mistake. I know it does have medical advantanges i tend to be againts it for the use of termination of life by a women's or peer pressure decision. I hope and pray this will help so to your research paper. I hope i did not start a debate here only to give you some ideas on your reasearch paper.

Here is my view:

Babies, while in the womb, are symbolic of the Holy Spirit of the Lord. For we are the fruit of the womb, and the Holy Spirit gives fruit of the Spirit womb (born again).

Just because they dont look the same doesnt mean that God didnt want us to understand its meaning.

So to kill the fruit of your womb, would in essance be like killing the fruit of the Holy Spirit. And that means the person does not want to see the product of their womb. Or the works/fruit of the Holy Spirit: which is Galatians 5:22-23 fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Woman in the old testiment realized it was a horrible thing not to have fruit of the womb. It was more or less like a curse. They greatly desired this fruit and prayed to God to bless the fruit of their womb.

And you know what, God fulfilled the fruit of womans womb. By causing man to be born again, and recieve his Holy Spirit.

*So having a child of my own, I know how much I love her. And she represents my name, she is my eternal life if you will. For by blood standards, she carries me in her bloodline forever, down through time. And if she is a good child, from all that I have taught her it will show through her.*

Be Blessed:hug:

I am not so sure about this. The current lines in the sand have been drawn by analogy only, and somewhat distant analogy at that. I havn't found arguments on ANY side particularly convincing.

So, I look at it this way. If I side with the pro-life people, I may be wrong, but I won't have to worry about explaining any of it to St. Peter. But, if I side with pro-choice and am wrong in choosing them, I can really end up in hot water.

I personally am unimpressed with either side's arguments. But, you want to err on the safe side with this one. The stakes are pretty big.

If given proper sustenance and environmental conditions, an embro will eventually grow into an adult Human being. It is murder to kill a Human being without just cause, therefore it is murder to kill an embrio which is effectively a very young Human being. I don't care if there is no developed brain, it is Human, and thus is sacred.

Scientific experrimentation and harvesting stem cells from Human embrios is murder and thus disgusts me.

Sorry, there's a similar thread in Ethics & Morality, if you're interested. Here's what I wrote on that one:

Well, on an anti-embryonic research view:
1. Yes, most against this practice believe that the human embryo is human as much as anyone else.
2. Also, most of the controversy on this has been on embryonic stem cell research. While there have been positive medical results from adult and cord blood stem cells, embryonic stem cell research (to my knowledge) has failed to produce positive medical results.
3. Stem cells (if that is what you're talking about) are available through other means that do not harm the donor as they do human embryos (which are usually dead when the cells are collected).
4. I've seen embryonic research touted as a positive reason for legal abortion, which some oppose.

Does that give you a good starting place?
Rachel
