There are two exceptional Ellen G. White quotes from A Profile of Satan’s Agents that I believe characterize Satan's agents exactly.

"I have beheld angels grieved as the most precious jewels of truth have been brought before men utterly incapable of appreciating the evidences in favor of the truth. Their entire being was at war with the principles of truth; their natures were at enmity with it. Their object in discussing was not that they might get hold of the evidences of the truth themselves, or that the people might have a fair understanding of our true position, but that they might confuse the understanding by placing the truth in a perverted light before the people. There are men who have educated themselves as combatants. It is their policy to misstate an opponent, and to cover up clear arguments with dishonest quibbles. They have devoted their God-given powers to this dishonest work, for there is nothing in their hearts in harmony with the pure principles of truth. They seize any argument they can get with which to tear down the advocates of truth, when they themselves do not believe the things they urge against them. They bolster themselves up in their chosen position, irrespective of justice and truth. They do not consider that before them is the Judgment, and that then their ill-gotten triumph, with all its disastrous results, will appear in its true character. Error, with all its deceptive policies, its windings and twistings and turnings to change the truth into a lie, will then appear in all its deformity. No victory will stand in the day of God, except that which truth, pure, elevated, sacred truth, shall win to the glory of God." —Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 3 p. 425.

“Satan well knows that all whom he can lead to neglect prayer and the searching of the Scriptures, will be overcome by his attacks. Therefore he invents every possible device to engross the mind. There has ever been a class professing godliness, who, instead of following on to know the truth, make it their religion to seek some fault of character or error of faith in those with whom they do not agree. Such are Satan’s right-hand helpers. Accusers of the brethren are not few, and they are always active when God is at work and His servants are rendering Him true homage. They will put a false coloring upon the words and acts of those who love and obey the truth. They will represent the most earnest, zealous, self-denying servants of Christ as deceived or deceivers. It is their work to misrepresent the motives of every true and noble deed, to circulate insinuations, and arouse suspicion in the minds of the inexperienced. In every conceivable manner they will seek to cause that which is pure and righteous to be regarded as foul and deceptive.” —The Great Controversy, p. 519.
Do you believe that Ellen G. White was Christian to profile these enemies of truth as eloquently as she has? Is it wise for Seventh-day Adventists to recognize that profile and to be alert to those on this forum who seem to be imitating it?

I see it quite clearly. However, most are unaware that they are guilty of doing this.

In fact, there are some that are so bent on being right that they can't see that their words do not reflect that which is true and godly; rather, their words serve as a means to further the devil's work in tearing down the faith of the innocent and marring the vision of those that God is calling to salvation.

Such people spend most of their time allowing their attention to be drawn in by minute issues that are in essence counter-productive to growth in Christ. They then parade their thoughts before others, trying to give the impression that they have something important to say, when their words are as empty as a dried up well.

They make great claims about themselves, and their knowledge, while failing to give God the glory for their existence. Moreover, they falsely accuse those that disagree with them of walking with the devil, even in spite of the fact that they are unable to answer the hard questions of those whom they believe fit the description of a demon.

As a way to save face, and not bear the responsibility of addressing such issues, they revert to telling others that these people are rejecting Christ, as if to suggest that they are the Christ that is being rejected. They use this method well, as it really doesn't serve to prove what they are claiming to be true, but merely serves as a means to make them feel better about themselves. Hence, their gospel isn't centered in Christ; rather, it is centered in self.

Satan uses these people well!

Did you have a falling out with your friends on the Trads side of the aisle?

No. Why do you ask? Do you believe that what I posted in here has anything to do with them?

Perhaps it may for some, but not all. Then again, it could apply to any group of people within the church, as it addresses several characteristics.

However, it most strongly speaks of those that tend to draw near to the fanatical side of things.
