I did the absentee ballot this time since I had surgery. I did it all by mail. It would be nice to have that convenience every time, but I'd rather be healthy and do it the old-fashioned way, of course.

Kinda frustrating when nobody is exactly what you'd like them to be. Just have to vote for the one who is the closest.

I sat down with my sample ballot last night to make sure I was informed about all the California propositions before voting today. I thought I knew enough about all of them, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Two hours later, I realized I was missing a lot. I spent a long, long time researching a lot of these props that I didn't realize I knew next to nothing about. At the end of the day, I felt much more informed about what I was doing.

What scares me is that I think I'm fairly on top of things in general, but I didn't know diddley about some of this stuff. I'm really glad I took the time to figure it out instead of waiting until the last minute and winging it.

Yeah, it is kind of frustrating. I didn't care for either candidate, but voted the "lesser of the two evils" as my mom would say. Yay for civic duty though!
