  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, if you are asking if the game will be awesome- yes. I can't wait till it comes out!

On the other hand if you are asking if it is a healthy thing to invest time into you need to ask yourself a few things...

There will be drinking, killing- murder and defense, prostitution, sex, decapitations, possibly killing children etc in this game... many of the same things you find in the Bible.

That said- can you play this game with out "stumbling"- for example I have a friend who can't read comics because the animated women cause him to lust. That is something that is unique between you and God- it comes down to this question: does it distance yourself from God.

Outside of that the games is addicting and can suck up all of your time- so if you think this may become a problem I'd steer clear. Similarly I'd steer clear of TV, stamp collecting or anything that causes you to be reclusive and neglect your time with God or the Church.

I will be getting this game- and even role-playing it. I used to have a problem playing too many games but have since leveled out.

Hope this helps!
