We believe that having a body of flesh and bone and spirit it necessary to living with God eternally. It was not a price he had to pay for being human. He had to be human and to be born with a body of flesh and bone and spirit to fully become God.

Jesus had to have the same earthly experience as all the spirit children of God had. He was a God and so his experience was a little different than ours, but none the less he had to overcome like we have to overcome, or he would not have been our Savior. He did, so it is a mute point.

All I can say is that you are totally and completely wrong. Jesus was fully God---as God He created everything there is---He certainly could not have created anything if He wasn't God. Why is it that the LDS have to continually diminish how great Jesus is---what a huge price He paid in order to save us? You make it seem like a side issue that He had to do in order to become God, when He was already God and perfect and created this world in it's perfection. Everything that JS has come up with was to diminish the Father, So, and Holy Ghost. It is certainly proof enough for anyone to see that he was no prophet of God. That is why there are so many LDS that are leaving the church and I hope many more will do so. For only Satan wants to diminish the Godhead and in the process exalt man, they become gods, too. Your Jesus simply is not the true one and can not save anyone.

If he was fully God, why did he have to overcome anything in order to sit with God in His throne?

He is not just fully God/fully divine, He is also fully man. In Christianity (but not in Mormonism), there is a thing called the incarnation. That is why. And glory be to God that He did, and by His sacrifice on the cross He saved and redeemed us all.

He was already sitting with God before the incarnation. Jesus was not overcoming anything within Himself, He was sinless---He was overcoming temptations that Satan was giving Him. The overcoming was not in order to sit at the right hand of God---the overcoming was to show us that we, too, can overcome as He did. He was to overcome the temptations of Satan and remain pure in order to die for our sins. He was to be the pure, spotless Lamb in order to be the Sacrificial Lamb. What He did was in order to save us, not to become God---He already was that. I don't understand what is so difficult to understand about that. Study the sanctuary service---the Lamb had to be spotless in order to be the sacrificial Lamb. The Lamb did not become God, the Lamb died to cover our sins. Jesus was already God, He merely resumed His rightful place that He had before the incarnation.

Hey, Peter. Well, Scripture clearly says that there were only so many Apostles.

Matthew 10

Luke 6:13-16

Acts of the Apostles 1:1-14

Acts of the Apostles 8:1

But that those ordained after the Apostles by the Apostles, like Timothy, and those ordained after him, were bishops and elders.

Titus 1:1-9

Thank you. My wife and father-in-law were Catholic. I took my father-in-law to mass many times before he died. My wife joined The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is all centered on LOVE. God is LOVE. May God be with you always.

It is made very clear in the Bible that Jesus Christ had to be perfected:

(New Testament | Hebrews 5:9)

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

(New Testament | Luke 13:32)

32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

That being said, Jesus is very powerful. He has the power to perfect us that we can be one with Him and the Father.

True believers don't turn their backs on Jesus; we love Him!

Ich bin klein
Mein herz ist Dein
So niemand kann da wohnen
Als Jesu allein.

Hebrews 13
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Yes, true believers LOVE Jesus by keeping the commandments of LOVE:

(New Testament | John 14:21)

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
