CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

At the end, it was snowing... But since it doesn't snow in L.A., that means Edward Scissorhands is alive and is working on his ice sculptures again.
I don't know if this is what people are crying about though.

I cried at it too! Poor Edward was left all alone in that castle for the rest of his life. No one could accept him for who he was, so he had to live alone. And even though Kim was in love with him, she left him anyway. I thought it was sad.

I agree TerraSin, Edward Scissorhands is a classic! I've been a Johnny Depp fan since the day I was born and this movie is a great example of why he's so great. I saw where he's going to play Willy Wonka in the new movie directed by Tim Burton. I know it'll be fantastic. Tim Burton/Johnny Depp have got to be the best team of all time.

I dunno about recreating Willy Wonka... it would be like trying to redo something like Monty Pythons Search for the Holy Grail... some classics shouldn't be touched.

Me either. I haven't seen all of his movies, some aren't really my type; but everything I have seen him in he is amazing. He totally immerses himself into that character and makes it believable. Not many actors can do that. And he is in such a variety of roles too. Some actors play the same type of character over and over and over. Johnny could pull anything off I think.
