He really is a man of true brilliance. Disturbed, but the best geniuses are eccentric ones. I've been to his grave site.

He is pretty cool. My favorite poem of his is the Raven. I haven't read all that much of his, but I still think he is great.

My favorite poem is Annabel Lee.

He was pure genious he is by far my favorite poet and short story writer... and this is coming from a guy who has a famous poet as an ancestor.

My favorites are Raven, A Tell Tale Heart, and Black Cat. I saw Black Cat and a Tell Tale Heart at a play in Baltimore.

If I have kids, I want to name a daughter Raven after him.... but I am not going to spell it the same way.

The Masque Of The Red Death (1842) - 14KB
The Pit And The Pendulum (1842) - 35KB

I especially like the Masque of the Red Death-so much symbolism.

It seems like the best writers have the most torturous of lives.

I liked The Raven, Annabel Lee, The Purloined Letter, and The Cask of Amontilado (sp?) just creeped me out a lot, but it's been a couple years since I had to read it. MS in a bottle, that was weird too.

I love Annabel Lee, my favorite Poe story has to be The Fall of the House of Usher, although the Pit and the Pendulum and Murders on the Rue Morgue are stories I enjoyed alot too.
