How should SDAs respond to the Ecumenical Movement? Shall we embrace all beliefs systems that are founded on Christ but hold to different doctrines such as Sunday Sabbath, state of the dead, eternal burning hell, immortal soul, homosexual ministers and so on?

Is the Ecumenical Movement an endtime movement towards a one world church that opens the door to persecuting those who keep the commandments of God?

It's a widespread and powerful movement that seems to condemn those as haters and bigots who stand for one way and one truth to the Father.

What are your thoughts?

A movement aiming to unify through the suppression of alternative views. Interesting...

It seems to me that the common denomintor that unifies will not be Bible truth, but rather, the name of Jesus.

To me this is where the deception lies.

The name, Jesus, is just a name without the character and authority behind the name. I arrested a man for drunk driving who's name was Jesus.

Listen to what Jesus says about lifting up the name only.

Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"

Why didn't Jesus know them?

Because they practiced lawlessness, in other words, they were not keeping the Law. Also, the word, practice, is not referring to stumbling or falling into sin, it's referring to a practicing life style of sin.
