• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys!!! I was addicted to this drug for about a year, and at first it was fun and games but became very dark. I definitely payed a price for my sins. Anyone have stories of their struggles with this drug????

I was never addicted to E but have taken plenty of it (have been addicted to many other drugs!)

In my experience (like you) it draws you in with good times and great feelings but turns on you and opens you up to the demonic. I struggled with meth addiction for a long time (which is kinda similar) and that was REALLY demonic! Connected to a porn/sex addiction it took me to some screwed up places.

IMO, all drugs open gateways to the demonic and they will deceive you, torture you, make you think you're enlightened, etc. Glad I'm now drug free

In a manner of speaking... yes!

It is only a small number of people who are demonically influenced who actually praise satan. Most, have no idea what's going on.

But for me, while not praising satan per se, I did give my allegiance to lucifer (same, same). I was what you could call a luciferian (as in some-one who believed lucifer brought light). Oh, how deceived I was!

Drugs heightened my affections for lucifer and all things anti-God, many-fold. Drugs ALWAYS lead people away from God's ways and into activities that lead to destruction. I have NEVER seen an exception to this rule!

Marijuana has not lead me from god, instead it allows me to learn more.

Marijuana led me toward delusion, addiction, anxiety. Occasionally I would have a flash of insight, but that always led to nothing.
I live in the pot smoking capital of Australia (Nimbin) and it's full of very confused and sick people.
The herb takes much more than it gives!

Just because its the pot capitol of your country doesn't mean weed is the contributor to that. Look at amsterdam, Marijuana is legal and there one of the safest places on earth and the dutch are always friendly.

Nimbin is an interesting place for sure. Now it seems there is a lot more "ice" there than a few years back.

I had friends that became heavy users. One was taking 24 pills a week. He began becoming very depressed and started suffering from panic attacks. Besides MDMA it is impossible to say what was typically in those pills. I think that was part of the problem. Different pills had different effects. He was playing playing Russian Roulette with his brain.

I take MDMA sometimes when I go out raving to house music, trying to stop though. Never felt anything demonic but then I'm always with people listening to music on it, never alone.
It does not tend to be physical too addictive. So hopefully it will be easy to stop when you decide to.

Let's agree to disagree. I don't understand how a plant that God created contributes to your city being full of confused and sick people. The criminalization of weed is one of the great hypocrisies of humanity.

I've taken it a few times before. I have a friend who used to take ecstasy every weekend and it resulted in him not being able to have kids with his wife. At least, he claimed a doctor told him that was the reason. I don't know the science behind it, but I'd be careful. I know it can have really negative effects later on.

It's addiction that causes the problem. Anything can be addictive. Remember that plants can kill as well as heal. Weed has been known to treat ailments. It is also known to contain cancer causing compounds.

Thanks, im not a regular user, I did some on nye and still have some left over in my room... not looking ti do it for a while.

I've come closer to God and gave up smoking weed daily, a habit i've had for years and I dont miss it. I'm trying to be as sober as possible, used to drink beer daily after work but i've given that up too with the strength of God.

I actually enjoy being clear headed and reading the Bible after work laying down on my bed or couch. If I came home and smoked a joint or drank a beer I realised there was no room for God. I think Satan uses drugs as a distraction like that, nothing overtly demonic just simply not having time to think or learn about God.

It's been hard for me, relatively [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] life not too much money, distracted by women, clubs drugs and the paper chase... For someone grown up in the world it is tough to turn from it all and embrace Jesus... but it is possible and I'm proving it to myself everyday.

I have never heard of any connection between MDMA and sterility. You might want up check in to that.

Excellent...your use seems extremely light. Yes, habitual drug use does interfere with spirituality. All drugs can be used irresponsibly...even Communion wine or weed.

Having a clear head is great because everyday is an adventure:)

Yeah, that used to be one of my major loves in life when I was in my early 20's. I used to even roll at work:sorry: Eventually a tolerance built up and to make matters worse it was almost impossible to find real MDMA. The bulk of pills now are even worse or so I've read. So many of those pills are just crappy research chemicals some of which are a lot more dangerous and injurious to short and long term health than actual MDMA. Taking untested pills, especially in the current environment, is like playing Russian roulette. Some of the side effects from the fake stuff I've witnessed have included everything from urinating blood to falling down and having seizures. Some of the pretend E's include substance like PMA at dangerously high levels for example and have even lead to multiple death. They do sell kits for testing pills and if one isn't going to do the safest thing and not take illegal drugs all togehter it's probably a good harm reduction strategy to test.
