When refferenced with God it means unity of what? Please prove your point.

The Hebrew word echad means one that is mathematically plural (i.e. a composite unit) as distinct from yichad which means one that is mathematically singular (i.e indivisible). YHWH is a single Entity but He is also Tri-Personal therefore echad/elohim is more appropriate than yichad/el.

The Hebrew term echad does not mean 'unity' because entirely separate entities can be united (such as a team or a committee) but YHWH is NEITHER a 'team' nor a 'committee' (Deut.6:4).

Ehad can also mean mathematically "one".

Num 7:15, 21, 27, 33, 39, 45, 51 "one bull, one ram, one male lamb one year old, for a burnt offering;"

Here it is refering to numerically one of each of those animals for a burnt offering.

1 Sam 6:17 These are the gold sores which the Philistines returned for a guilt offering to the LORD: one for Ashdod, one for Gaza, one for Ashkelon, one for Gath, one for Ekron;

Here it is talking about returning numerically one gold sore to each of those cities.

There are actually so many examples of "ehad" meaning numerically one that there isn't enough room to post them all.

Besides that, Deuteronomy 6:4 isn't an analysis of the inner being of Yahweh, but it's a command to be loyal to Yahweh alone. The Shema isn't concerned with whether or not Yahweh is unipersonal or tripersonal. It is concerned with the people of Israel giving loyalty and devotion to Yahweh alone.

I remember speaking about this with a friend of mine who teaches Hebrew and knows Biblical Hebrew about ECHAD. He once wrote me this below:

My dear brother,

If I asked an Israeli kid age 6 to count to 5, he was say "echad, snahyim, schloshah, arbahah, hhamisha etc." "Echad" is simply the word for "one."

Like English it can be used to describe one orange or one dozen of oranges. Note some uses of echad in the Bible:

Genesis 11:1 Now the whole world had one (echad) language and a common speech.
Genesis 22:3 ........as a burnt offering on one (echad) of the mountains...
Exodus 11:1 .........I will bring one (echad) more plague on Pharoah...
Leviticus 23:24 ....... on the first (echad) day of the seventh month you are to...

What else did you need?
