CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Gen 25:5-6
5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country. KJV
Gifts are good.
Being given all is better.
Gal 3:26-29
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. KJV
Some of God's children are given gifts and sent to the east. Some are baptized into Jesus' death and put on Christ/given all, like Isaac, the child of Abraham's hope, while being against hope.
Abraham had many sons. Only in Isaac was Abraham's seed called.
This is an object lesson of the Lord's relationship to humanity.

Ecclesiastes is my favorite book in the Old Testament, because it's full of timeless wisdom.

Its my favorite book as well, because it teaches about life,
especially life in the sight of the Lord, and reprooves those who condemn certain things as worldly... if you know what I mean...
