For an ebook, using a ms from the printed ed. [word doc] and it has some block quotations. Does this present a problem when formatting?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
("...you'll need to ask that question on a writer's forum such as writersbeat forum or publishedauthors forum..." suggested the goblin guessing that one was talking about something from MS word format into PDF format now, adding "...they're pretty helpful is one is amiable towards then...")

Word should make an okay ebook, and epub does handle blockquotes. Although I would recommend making the edition specific to the ebook and not just uploading the printed edition. You may just need to test it out and see how it goes, though.

The safe bet is to make it in-line. ePub isn't a universal e-reader format (natively Nook and Kindle for instance have their own). I do agree with Geek to make the edition specific for the eBook. I have multiple versions for mine depending on what they are being published on.
