Why do people pay so much for stuff on ebay? A game was 4.99 at eb games and they bid it up to 15. on ebay. Is it just the thrill of bidding, or do people not know that eb games exists?

A lot of the time, it's just not being able to find a specific game, or wanting it in particular condition.

yeah for example try and find final fantasy 7 in a store. (youll have a very hard time finding it.) i ordered it brand new on ebay for alot more than i could have got it in the stores for... but i wanted the game so much that i didnt care about the price.

It's been quite easy to find in my part of the world...in mass quantities.

Are you in a decent city? I know that every city with over 100,000 people here in Canada(that I've seen) has plenty of pawn shops with a few copies of FF7. I've even seen smaller towns(10,000 or so people) with FF7 in their pawn shops.

You could always throw a mod chip into your system and order FF7 from Ebgames.com!

The games on ebay that get bid up are available at eb games. If they went to EB games site first, they could save money. EB games is cheaper than gamestop, Ithink. Does anyone know of any sites cheaper than eb games, that are trustworthy and have a good selection?

I dunno if Marduke is talking about the Playstation version of the game - which there seems to be a reasonable number of - but it is impossible to find on PC... which I have a copy of. The same goes for FF& on PC for that matter. it's very annoying.

But back to the topic at hand, I get a fair idea of what I should pay for something before I go shopping on ebay. I tend to be looking for specific things on ebay, and very rarely do I just 'windows shop' Another factor to take into consideration is postage. Some times it just isn't worth it.

i am in Brisbane.. (approx 1.7 million population)
and modding is too much hassle. i got a french PAL version of FF7 (game is in english, but the booklet is french.. lol)

I dont know about other parts of the world but im in Adelaide, South Australia and EB is the absolute last resort to buy games at, i know peeps that go to cashies before they would go to EB. Eb has a 7 day policy in which you can buy a game and if you dont like it you can return it for a full refund. Only problem is that they then put that 2nd hand copy back on the shelf and sell it for brand new price. So if shopping at Eb demand an unopened copy.

Some people are just too lazy to leave the house. I love buying from Ebay cuz of the convenience.It's worth the extra cost if you never have to go to the store.It's also fun to get something in the mail!

You do not have to leave the house to buy at eb. They are on the internet and shipping is like 2 dollars. But is there anyone else online that is that cheap? How can they be the only ones?
