  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I got pregnant when I was fifteen (loooooong story... rather not get into it) , and at first I just started eating like crazy but within a week or two I just got incredibly sick. I could only eat a couple handfuls of food a day and around 5 PM I'd just lay on the couch feeling more miserable than I'd ever felt. Headaches, random dry heaving... the works. My weight went down to around 95 or 96 pounds, and because of the state my health got into the pregnancy didn't exactly last :(

I don't mean to scare anyone, my sickness probably had a lot to do with how messed up my hormones are, and all the stress I was going through (part of the reason I allowed myself to end up pregnant in the first place.) I really hope later on when I'm ready to have another baby that the morning sickness will be easier on me.

No, just trying to convince myself that I could be! But alas!

Ah, well, then your best bet would be to see if you're eating more than usual or if you're moodier than usual. Next step would be to see if your period is late, of course.

I've been pregnant twice. The first time my first symptom was the late period and morning sickness. But the second time something a little odd happened--I was so skinny at the time that I could actually see a slight swelling in my uterus. This was only about a week after I had had sex. The pregnancy went very well though--both of them did--and I now have two beautiful baby girls. If you would like to discuss pregnancy further, I'm always available. Just send me a PM with any concerns or questions you might have, or if you just want to talk about it. =)

Actually two days before I took a pregnancy test I notice my chest was a bit tender to the touch...about two weeks or so after I got the official "your pregnant" from the doc I started getting 24 hr nausea, that all pretty much went away after month three or four...though some don't even experience it...also before I found out I started getting car sick for no apparent reason....I stayed tired alot and slept alot before that though......which I found out was due to a large part me being anemic...but, I have heard plenty of pregnant women complain of sleeping too much...hey we need our rest:)

I had AF symptoms (Aunt Flo = period) such as sore breats and cramps about 5 days before I was dues on. I always get them the day I start bleeding, so I thought this was odd, I did a test but it was negative. tested again 2 days before AF due and had a positive.

Charligirl, thanks for this. I did a test last week on day AF due - negative. Then had sore breasts and cramping (as before AF). But did a test this morning which was positive. Also had blood test this morning. Now waiting for results!! fingers crossed!! I was a bit concerned about cramping if I am pregnant - but this may be normal??

Cramping in the first trimeater is very normal! In fact I was still running to the bathroom with a tampon for days after I got my positive!! lol

If your home test was positive then that's pretty conclusive, in the UK doctors don;t even bother with blood tests anymore if your Home test was a postivie. Congratulations :D

Thanks Charligirl! My blood test came back positive as well. Like you said I keep on going to toilet expecting AF! Cramping is not too bad, just a little uncomfortable.

Thanks for your advice!
Congrats ilovespring,
How far along are you? When I was expecting, which my daughter is four now, I found out by going to the doctor for my regular pap exam. My doctor was finished with the exam and was doing my breast exam and my breast were sore. So she did a urine test and the results were positive. From that day on I had morning sickness, heartburn and my stomach startig sticking out.
I will pray many prayers for you and your baby. If you are able to tape the event please do so. I had natural child birth which started on Tuesday and I had her on Thursday.
