Each Day Goes By

As followers of Jesus Christ,
We live each day; we live it nice.
Our goal each day to please our Lord,
To do His will, all in accord.

We love our Savior, Jesus, King,
To Him we owe our everything.
We want to follow where He leads,
And on His Word to daily feed.

We want to witness, tell the truth,
And some of us, this from our youth.
We want to share the gospel real,
And not hold back to flesh appeal.

We want to tell how Jesus died,
How for our sins was crucified,
So we’d die with Him to our sins,
And now live only just for Him.

But are you perfect? Some will ask,
So we give answer, that’s our task.
We are but clay in Potter’s hands,
He’s molding us by His own plans.

We’re not yet perfect, no, not yet,
But lack of perfect not to let
It be excuse to live in sin,
But live for Jesus, obey Him.

For faith in Jesus not free ride
To live however we decide,
And claim salvation from our sins
And life eternal lived with HIM.

For Bible tells, die to sin,
And live for Jesus, obey Him,
Or heaven’s gates not open wide
For those who’re living in their pride.
