Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ...

Would you please pray for my brother in law who is dying of cancer. Robert does not believe in life hereafter...I fear for his soul.

As long as he is a good man, I would not worry too much about his soul. I am sure that his soul will be fine if he is a good man. I will pray for him.

:prayer:

 (or rather just gives that "are you crazy?" look)

Faithful,

I'll definitely pray for him, that he seeks out God's mercy and put's his trust in him.

Is he Catholic? If so, then get him a priest. If he's not, get him a pastor so he can atleast talk.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit will work God's Grace; bringing him to faith in our Lord.

The council of Clergy may bring both comfort and faith. The Holy Spirit does work through the Gospel, and those who are called to administer Word and Sacrament.

May our Lord have Mercy, and bring comfort to all his family and friends.

Amen.:prayer::crossrc::prayer:

Robert will be in my prayers.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

May the Lord provide and touch his heart. May St. Faustina be correct and may he...in his last moments...see the divine mercy of Christ. And my he be wise enough to embrace it.

Also my prayers for your whole family.

For once Benedictaoo I'm not in agreement.

Faithful's Brother-in-law's wishes have to be respected .

If the question has been raised at all with him and he has made his wishes known - then that's the end of things . This still holds even if he said what he wanted some time ago .

We cannot and must not attempt to overrule a person's expressed wish - even if they are dying.

God knows what is in his heart - let us instead pray that he accepts God, and is at peace at the end.

Lord have mercy on him :crosseo:

I know what you mean by fearing for his afterlife...sometimes I feel that I will be the one having to beg God to have mercy on both my parents' unbelief:|
