  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I thought it might be funny to hear some dumb dog stories. Anybody else have a dumb dog like we do? Don't get me wrong we love her but....

For example, after she chases a squirrel up the tree, even if it goes to another tree and gets away she will sit there for literally an hour looking up. All we have to do is say "squirrel" and look up a tree, you know the rest.

dumb dogs, we dont have one and i laugh at their stupidity all the time.

Friends dog, really big, dumb brute. was walking along the edge of the lake near their house and fell in. apparently the water made it become even stupider cuz it lost all sense of direction and started swimming the opposite way, whining and moaning cuz it didnt want to be in the icy water. we called it and called it but it wouldnt come back. stupid dog. a few hours later it came home, the end.

well one of my three dogs....... She doesn't get things easially she hates going for walks you have to drag her up the driveway and down the road for two houses before she will walk. She just is the most loviable dog all she wants in life is to be petted and she doesn't care how she getts it and how from it could be even a compleat stranger. She acts like a dumb blond around her boyfriend.

The thing is that she is really sneeky if she gets mad at a person she will go into the persons bed and well when they go to bed they will realize the bed is wet. One time my aunt kicked her off her bed to make it and she was mad at her so my aunt ended up changing her bed covers that night. It is kind of funny if you think about it she trully is dumb but sneeky. She will stair at my nabours yard since they have a dog tooo even if he is not there she will just sit there stairing like he will suddenly appear or something. She we have a very weird dog.Loviable but weird.

This is the opposite.
Smart dog story.

Sitting in the family room, the family watching T.V. and me on the computer.
I look over and see a mouse.
I call my dog who is asleep on the couch.
I say Tippy(he looks at me) AND then I say "mouse" and glance at the mouse who
is sitting there.
The dog chases it behind a large hope chest.
Ok, maybe this is a dumb dog story, he circles the chest even after I point out that the mouse had ran under my computer. He wants to chase mice but he is not the best tracker.
My dog understands alot of words.
Mouse, walk, treat, bedtime, ball, bone, the other pets name and
working on down and roll over( he tends to roll over for both)
If you haven't read my other pet posts, he is a full blooded miniture fox terrier.
Currently in the dog pack,my dog thinks it is equal to my youngest daughter.
I am alpha, my wife is assistant-alpha,My older daughter is top Beta, and Tippy and my
youngest daughter are low beta. He does listen to her much and doesn't walk with the lead well with her. But they play well. If I play ball with him, he will bring the ball to me first then my older daughter(Mom doesn't play much with him) and lastly my youngest.
Enough of dog Psych 101.

Back about 8-10 years ago there was a show called Northern Exposure. At the beginning music would play and a moose would walk by and disappear off the left side of the screen. My Australian Shephard would hear the music and come running down the stairs and sit and watch the moose on TV. When the moose would disappear, the dog would walk over to the side of the TV and look for it. She would do this week after week. We also got a video of her watching some dog movie my kids were watching.
