Forgive me...
I was saved when I first believed and trusted in Christ alone for salvation.
Praise the Lord, he was healed. The Church has existed for over 2000 years and there is a long history of miraculous events that are recorded and passed on. The Life of the Church didn't end with the events recorded in Scripture. The Life of the Church carries on until this very day. God completely cured a man from New Jersey just last month of untreatable stage 4 cancer, who had reached the end of his rope. That man had been anointed with fragrant oil (myrrh) that miraculously streams from the surface of a painted image of Mary holding Jesus as a child, while the presbyters prayed over him and asked that she pray for him. His doctors examined him the following week and could find no sign of the cancer that was supposedly going to kill him.
What happened with the Theotokos at her Dormition is not made up.
writings on these things date back to the third or fourth century and there are various authors.Where is it written and by whom? There must be a beginning somewhere of the incident.
Yes, glory to God!Praise the Lord, he was healed.
These same types of miraculous healings happen in other denominations and are verified by doctors. It's a matter of faith and the will of God.
He did take all the suffering on His shoulders! Have you read the Bible? Is Christ's sacrifice really not enough for you? You honestly think you can add to it to make it better or more complete?
Quite frankly you diminish His precious sacrifice by suggesting it is not enough.
I hope I never believe that I can add anything worthwhile of my own to that one time, unfathomably precious and undeserved gift.
I read it. The thing is, the Bible does not give us a hierarchy of sins. It says the wages of sin is death.

Jesus didnt suffer and die to make life a dream for you.
Remember, He daid we have to pick up our cross and follow Him.
Yes, we have to have 100% faith in Jesus but, we also need to turn to Him when we fail in life and ask forgiveness.
I could never think like you and believe that as Jesus suffered we can carry on life without a care and mot willing to suffer outselves
Jesus said to pick up your cross and follow him. This shows that we have to do our bit.
Then what was the significance of Jesus expressing to Pilate that the Pharisees held the greater sin?
'All sins being equal' seems true when you think of Original Sin- a simple deception ruined man- but it certainly doesn't dictate that there aren't worse sins than others.
That is the bible, and The Church teaches the same.
Forgive me...
Good morning. I hope you are well.Thank you for sharing that.
You avoided the clear question. Do you sin? Do you ask forgiveness or is there no need to?

Of course I sin, and of course I ask for forgiveness. Have I ever once said I'm perfect?
Even asking forgiveness counts as a work. It takes courage to shed everything.
