  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is my first time driving in a thunderstorm. I just drove home from my work and I knew I might be in trouble, my boss asked me if I wanted to wait till it passed but I said "no, I'll be fine." Somehow, I knew I would. So as soon as I get into my car, the rain decides to get worse. I make a face but start driving home. The rain is POURING and I hear thunder and.. lightning. Okay, I start to get a little nervous, but I pray to God to keep me safe. I keep my Switchfoot CD on, but just lower it a little in case lightning likes loud Christian rock. I'm getting progressively more scared, but all of a sudden, I look at the other cars on the road and realize we're all in the same boat, and I start laughing. (Not like, a maniacal laugh, but you know)... I watch the rain beat down on the ground and I realize how awesome God's power is. Well, more lightning and thunder, a little swerving, but I made it home! and I have God to thank for that. Thank you so much my LORD Jesus Christ for keeping me safe always. =)
