Dreams of instruction, and maybe a wife

Well I think I just got some nice sealed up instructions in a dream tonight. I just woke up and wanted to post it quick.

Some of you may know that I was planing on asking a girl I haven't seen in a while out. Well I spent some time alone with God last night. I talked with Him about it. I let Him know that it was no big NEED, but it was a desire I had to find a wife. I let Him know that He was the one I wanted to chose for me. I told Him that it didn't have to be this girl but I told Him what I was planing.

I planed to go visit her sometime at her church and ask her after the service. Because God has shown me that I can't wait on a wife to just show up. I told God about it. But I told Him one more thing. I told Him that if He would rather I find another that I was hoping He would let me know. But If He thought my plan was ok that He would some how let me know that too.

I told Him to bring us together if we should be, whoever my wife should be. I told Him that if it is this girl I wanted Him to prepare both me and her to meet. I told Him it would be nice to give her a dream about me. But I was still unsure as to if I should pursue my plan.

Here is what I am getting at. I asked God to give me instruction some how. I said "if nothing else give me a dream of instruction." And let me remember this dream when I awake.

Well, it isn't the first time that prayer was answered for God to talk to me through a dream. But He did come through again. In this dream I met her again after all this time. She was still beautifull. And I could see on her face that she was happy to see me. She was at my church. But unfortunitly I was taken away at that time right before I could ask her anything.

In real life she has been to my church once but I was not there. I had been called away at that time.

Anyway, while I was busy I looked and noticed she had goten up and left. After a while I could no longer stand it and droped what I was doing. I walked out of the church and started to look for her. When I turned I seen her on the steps of her church. She seemed happy to see me again. And at that point her sister told her they had to go, but I spoke her name as she turned to go. At that point I reached my hands and held her arms. She looked like she lit up. And at that point I asked her out as she knew I would. I then woke up.

I believe it was an instruction dream that I had asked for. I believe that what He was saying is that I missed my chance when she was at my church visiting. But that if I leave my church (only for a service) to find her I will meet her on the steps of her church. That was what I planed to do. I believe God has confirmed my plan. But when her sister told her to hurry in that she had to leave...it puzzils me. Is it that this may be my last chance? I did tell her that very phrase in the dream.

But I believe God has let me know by an answered prayer for a dream that I should follow the plan to visit her at her church one day. And to ask her out.

However, the dream did not hold true. The only thing I am saying is due not put to much faith in dreams that they are prophetic. I don't mean to be bearer of bad news, I'm just telling you something that I learned the hard way. The strange thing is that our subconcious can play mean tricks on us.

Hehehe, Well it isn't the first time I have had dreams of instruction. And that is what I see this as. I don't see it as a profetic one, just one of instruction to let me know I should follow my plan and see what may happen.

Thing is I asked for one before I went to bed. I did that before and God gave me one that showed me the job I am working at now and have been for 2 years. I know when my dreams are from my own mind and when they are not. Because when I get up from a God given one the interpitation is spoken to me. God spoke it to me this morning.

And just so ya know, I know the differance between my thoughts and Gods voice. His voice is like someone behind me talking whom I can not see, but I listen to the words instead of thinking about them. It is like listening to a friend behind you. You know when they speak cause you know their voice.

But this dream changes nothing. It only confirms what I was already planing. Oh and, I don't see it as one telling me how she feels. Just one telling me what I should do about how I feel.

I dreamed I met the parents of the guy i'm dating and they really liked me. And in my dream they lived on a boat! lol I hope that one comes true.

I'm excited for you! Even though these people say it's not true, (they may be right), just read Job 33:14-15.

I believe God can/has/does speak through dreams...

I know for a fact He does.

And that on job you said was absolutly right.

In a dream in the night God seals mans instructions.

I had asked at another time for one. I had gone through a hard trial. I didn't know where God was and just prayed He would talk with me and help me. That night I had a dream of a man of God asking me what I wanted from God. I answered and He gave instruction to me. That dream pulled me out.

But like I said, I only see this dream as one of instruction, as that is what I asked for. I don't see it as a comfirmation she will say yes. Only a confirmation to go ahead with my intentions.

I am going to ask God for instruction tonight as well. There are some things I am not sure about. I need to know if I should stay where I currently am and finish school here or move to L.A. and finish there... heh. This will be good. Please pray for me!

LOL, everyone searching for answers, and so few hearing the ones that God already gave. Maybe God will send a dream your way, or maybe He has already answered and you know what to do.

I personaly don't know why God deals with me like He does. So I couldn't say if He would give a dream to ya or not. I just know that if I ask for something I normaly get it. But for now it seems that my faith is limited. Maybe it will grow

My faith is tiny too, but, I am asking God to let it grow. I think I do have an answer... but I guess I want to be totally convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt. Heh, again this ties into my lack of faith. Please pray for my faith to grow!!!

A few days ago when I was fasting, I had a dream or perhaps a vision of myself staring at a woman who I currently know but she was a few years older, (maybe 5 or 7 years older), and I am very pleased with her in my eyes.

In this dream we are looking at a home. By the way the home looks on the inside, it seems like it is an expensive home and the reason why we are looking at it is because she wants to check it out to see if she likes it so that we may purchase the home. In that dream I am at total peace and my heart filled with joy because I am with her. I don't care about the house at all because I am not interested in the home, just her happiness... that dream looked like my future where she and I are buying our first home. It was so short. Like 30 seconds long or maybe even less but I still remember that dream. I felt happy that morning because I wondered if that was a sign from God or something...

anyways, do you think God gives us answers about our future plans in this way? Do you think this could be a sign or are dreams from God totally different in nature? What makes a dream a 'dream of instruction'? I know by scripture and expiriance God speaks with us in our dreams like this.

Well let me see how I could put this. I will tell you how my dreams are (and they are few) that come from God.
1: They are 100% true and correct.
2: when you wake up from it you will feel the presanse of God.
3: There is an interpitation given by the spirit of God to you, or from the spirit of God through another.
4: they are ONLY pure and good.
5: they are not random with little bottles flying at you for no reason.

These are only a few of my thoughts. But when it comes down to it, you just have to be in tune to God enough to hear and know His voice. I been spending 1 hour in prayer every day. I find I am closer than I was before that, and am mre sensitive to God.

What makes a dream a 'dream of instruction'?

When you need guidance and you are shown what to do it is instruction.

I went to sleep asking God for a dream or vision and that is what I saw, but, i don't recall if I asked for a dream that very night or if it was the night before.

Think of what exactly you asked for. Cause that is what God does. I asked for instruction as to what I should do. So that very night I had the dream. Notice that the moment my eyes opend I remembered every detail. I asked to remember it when I woke up. I can tell you what I wore and what she wore and everything. Not only that but I felt God close when I awoke. And that moment I heard the interpitation of why I had to go and find her on the steps of her church.

I just don't want to get my hopes up high is all. heh. That dream was so awesome. *sigh*

Just remember #1 : It must be 100% true.
That is what I am keeping in my mind. It will be the final confirmation. But as for your dream...I seen no instruction, only hopes. Because you didn't have to do anything. But ya know, I really don't put much stock in dreams. I just think God kinda gives us a hint through them. Because in mine I didn't hear her answer. I only seen what I should do.

I wouldn't trust your dreams to speak for The Lord. Pray to the Lord about a problem and it will just happen if he wants it to. The Lord doesn't need dreams to talk to people . He will bring someone to you . She might be sitting next to you in the church. You better make sure she is in the Lord and not just looking for company. Study your Bible and do deliverance daily

God does speak through dreams indeed.
My dad is a perfect example of this.
And yes, the events happen 100% correctly in the dream.
Yet his dreams or progressive. One example is the death
of my cousin. (most of his dreams concern major matters like that,
so they are easily confirmed) He was shot, at a club, in this city,
in the back of his neck, and he was drunk and the fight was over a
girl. My dad could have told you that BEFORE it happened. And yes,
he warned my cousin. Matter of fact, my aunt had a dream about her
son as well, the same one as my dad had, they discussed it and both
warned him. Mind you that my cousin was hard headed and to my
knowledge not very in tune with God. And...it happened.

Also for biblical confirmation that God presents things through dreams,
simply think about the Wise men, and their dream that should not return
to Herod. Matthews 2:7-12
12 being the main verse, containing words about the dream.

Yet I will agree, that discernment is necessary in all these endeavors.

The bible also declares that we all recieve different gifts. Some people
have the gift of visions and/or answers in dreams. Yet this does not limit
the fact that God can and will speak to whoever he wants to through a dream.

I feel that I am steering astray of my original message, so I'll stop now

Like I said, I don't know why He does this with me. But then I have had to go through a big trial of faith. If that is why God answeres me like He does, you may not want to go through what you will have to. It is dangerus and can kill a man (spiritualy). It was after this trial God began talking to me like this.
