I have had several dreams about getting baptized on Sunday, May 25, 2025. What does this mean? I want to repent and become a Christian and think it will be hard (if not impossible) to do so until that date. I also struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and want things done a certain way (like getting baptized on the 25th of next month). Does this just mean that I am not ready to accept Jesus Christ right now? Any help on this would be appreciated.

That would be the sixth Sunday of Easter. The following Thursday would be Assension. Ten days later would be Pentecost. No reason not to be baptized then but it would more commonly be done at least for Catholics at the Easter vigil on April 20 this year.

Then again there is usually some preparation for baptism. A time of learning and prayer and reflection so you are sure of what you are really getting in to. This can take months or even a year. I have no idea how much discerning you may have already done. Nor whether you have done that discerning with a minister who would be doing the baptism. Maybe you have done all of that. If so then go for it. If not then make contact with a priest or minister who could baptism you and start talking. God calls, in dreams even. Best to make a start then.

What Church do you want to be baptized in? Catholic? Orthodox? Evangelical? Baptist? Other Protestant?

What does baptism mean to you?

I advise you speak with a minister.

God bless!

A Baptist church, preferably. Baptism, to me, means repentance (a turn from sin), accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and a new beginning.
I would advise speaking to a Baptist pastor and finding a Baptist Church.

Peace

You can probably find some Baptists who will baptize you on the date in your dream. Make sure you find one that baptizes in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost as per the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 (this counts as a baptism in the name of Jesus Christ because He is the Son). This is very important; baptisms using other formulas like “the Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer” or “the Mother, Daughter and Holy Ghost” or others (such as baptizing only in the name of Jesus Christ) are indicative of cults which subscribe to non-Christian theology such as Oneness Pentecostals, Arians, and most other Baptist and other churches, if you need to move, would not accept such a baptism.
