Describe your dream mate... what are the qualities that you want them to possess?

When I get married, I want to end up marrying my very best friend who knows what makes me smile and what makes me cry, who knows what movie stinks and what movie would be a good tearjerker for me, who doesn't have to like the movie but would at least watch the first half with me, one who understands my need to be just "cute" sometimes, my rant listener, one who thinks i'm cute even when theres no hot water and i had to wash my hair in freezing cold water and it doesnt dry fast enough for me to curl it out, one who knows that i like my independence but that i like being babied from time to time, one who understands my H2O "obsession", one who gives the best hugs and knows just when to give them, one who knows when to hold my hand, one who laughs at my jokes and thinks its cute even though theres no sense in it, one who smiles when i start to frown, one who's eyes make me melt whenever i'm to face him, one who wouldn't mind my girlish giggle, one who challenges me, one who wouldn't hesitate to pray with me...I want to be able to look into his eyes on that destined day and be able to say "You're the one God prepared for me... and its perfect." *sigh* ok... i'll stop there... *smiles* just a thought hehehe...

Honestly, my "dream mate" will be whomever God has for me... I mean, yes, I want him to be intimately in love with Jesus... but that is really the ONLY characteristic I need.

*a heart for God
*intelligence
*can't be stubborn (b/c I somewhat am......and we'll get nowhere if we both are)........(i'm trying to impove, really I am!)
*must like movies
*enjoys dancing and if not, is at least willing to try
*humor...must be able to make me laugh (i pray i can make him laugh too...if not I hope he can at least recognize my attempts )
*excellent in Math and with directions
*likes spicy food and trying new foods
*loves being with people/fellowshipping with others/having company over
*is open to the idea of adopting a child or two
*is hard working but does not make money the center of his life
*gives sensational backrubs......*crosses fingers and toes*
*enjoys cuddling
*has a desire to travel
*is good with kids
*just my all around best friend
*inspires me to be the best, yet loves me as I am


This is what I think is best for me -our soverign Lord has shown me numerous times that He knows what's ultimately best. I'm anxious to see what He has planned!

All I really want is for her to have the fruits of the spirit manifest in her. Specifics aren't as important to me anymore because I found myself writing off perfectly good people just because she had a certain accent or something else equally as minute. Basically I want my God willing wife to be my best friend, wife, girlfriend, lover, confidant, prayer/accountability partner.......I just want her to bring out the best in me. I've learned to completely trust God in this area because He knows what I want more than I know what I want for myself.

It turns out that she was exactly what I was looking for and for the first time in my life I can say that I honestly love someone. My dream mate? First and foremost, the quality that I have always found the most attractive, is being loyal and humble to the Lord. And ironicly, it's the one quality that seems to be the hardest to find! My dream mate would also be mature and focused, while still having cute "little boy" moments. I want him to have lots of common sense and he would preferably have book smarts too. Has to have either grown up on a farm, or have appreciation of the work that goes into one. He would also have great love for southern gospel music. Oh, and he has to be a big family man.

That may be a little picky, but he is a dream mate right?
