I want one that works as fast as the ones I see on TV ....... boots up in less than a second, opens and then searches an international database in less than 5 seconds .....

How about one-out-of-two; my new Win10 machine boots in about 2 minutes and can do an international search in about .05 seconds; with 3.5 million hits. the two minutes is about enough time to pour a cup of coffee. What I would like to see is a large web sites have no video commercials and the ones they did have would be "clean" and unobtrusive.

Plus: the ads be so you can tell they ARE ads; so you don't click on one (thinking it's from your computer maker-that's what it says so it must be) and find out it's for some positive-Virus program for your brand new machine that you MUST d/l or your computer will lock-up and turn into a giant paper weight.

Twenty years ago I bought an IBM for $3000 that had 1/1000th of the memory and 1/3000th of the speed; but it still played videos; had voice activated typing (didn't work) and surfed the web just fine (not too fast but that was more to do with the dial-up connection) somethings get better; somethings don't.

I have added to my computer a
1) pci-e express SATA card
2) Samsung 850 SSD EVO 1 TB solid state drive.

This made the computer very quick! I may delay the next computer build for at least a couple of years as everything is working great!

This makes my Chromebook look ancient compared to that machine. I'm loving the transparent casing - beautiful!

I just build my own systems.
When I upgraded my autocad software to the latest version, I was forced to scrap my PentiumD 3.6ghz and upgrade most of the computer because of it.. The pentiumD just wouldn't handle the autocad very well.

I bought a used ASUS motherboard with a CoreI5-2500K and 16gigs memory for $120 as a package.. it also came with a new CoolMaster full size ATX case.. Added a 500watt power supply for another $40, and a GeForce GTX960 graphics card for $110 (used)..

Its pretty fast and runs my autocad software at around 50 Frames per second... I can fly the BMS Falcon 4 game at over 60 frames per second on multiple screens and no processor lag.

The GTX960 rocks.. I have it hooked up to a couple of 27 inch Samsung's running 1920 x 1080 and there's no flicker at all..

Its not the latest and greatest hardware obviously, but I only invested about $270 for the computer.. and it runs everything I need..
