Dream about snakes

I had an interesting dream last night.

I was looking in a mirror and I was very tall. I was wondering why I was so tall and I looked down at my feet. I was wearing extremely high heels. They did not look like glass, but the heel suddenly broke like glass and I fell.

When I fell, I was able to see under a bench. There was another pair of shoes there that were not broken. I reached for them. Someone threw the bench over and a pile of dirt was bubbling up where the bench was.

Suddenly the dirt exploded and all kinds of dangerous looking snakes came out. Some of them flew out very forcefully. I began to try to kill them. One of them was leaving out of the front door, but I got there before it got out and smashed it between the door and the door jam.

I looked behind me and some people had come in and started killing and capturing the snakes.

I know snakes are not usually a good thing.

ok.. The mirror tells you that this dream is a reflection of yourself. You are tall in spiritual stature and you walk in a higher level with the Lord. There are people or a group of people (symbolized by the bubbling dirt) who are going to knock you off your spiritual feet. The bubbling of the dirt indicates an agitation & uprising or rising up of this. They will use lies (snakes) to try to remove you from your higher walk with God. At some point you will recognize these lies and put an end to them before you start to believe them yourself. The unseen person who threw the bench over so you could see clearly what was happening was the Lord exposing these works for you.
Sounds like an interesting time.. there is ALWAYS SOMEONE (usually someone claiming to belong to Abba) who wants to remove us from our higher walk in the Lord!
Father I pray You endow CK with Your wisdom and discernment from on high and give her everything she needs to overcome this situation, as I know You already will do this for her, in Jesus name, amen

Yes they may well be angels who are helping you war against the lies of the enemy.

Kind of sounds to me like the Lord may be showing you something regarding the spirit of pride. The secular world values pride, but from God's perspective, it comes from the pit of hell.

There are several visual benefits for a woman wearing heels, beside the fact that they make women look thinner, talller and sexier. It also provides a feeling of empowerment.

But all of that is rooted in carnality. God's kingdom is about humility, submission and forgiveness. Quite the opposite I'd say. When Jesus sent his disciples out two by two, he told them not to even worry about money, clothes, what to eat, or even what tomorrow would bring. This is an amazing challenge for everyone. And like it says in Job 41 regarding Leviathan, the spirit of pride, only God can overcome it, and it can only be conquered by man through God by trials and tribulations- like clay being crushed, molded and subjected to high heat in order for God to turn us into something beautiful.

Snakes usually represent demonic spirits or some element of the demonic kingdom. Jesus called the Pharisees vipers. They didn't wear high heels, but they lengthened the borders of their garments.

It's very safe to say that you are not a Pharisee here, since you're killing them - There isn't a Pharisaical bone in your body. Stomping on the lies (snakes = long tails = lies) of the enemy will be a wonderful feeling... Slamming boundaries (door) against those lies which try to outwit you will be a good thing as you take back your higher walk in the Lord. The Word calls the enemy 'that serpent of old' and the 'father of lies'.

hahaha! I'm only 5'3" and I wore 4 inch heels for years, just so I could SEE when in a crowd! I got vertigo the last time I put on 4-inch heels! Anything above 2 inches now and I'm toast! I can see where Bob gets the pride issue, and perhaps, you could ask the Lord to show you if you have any that needs to be rooted out, but I lean toward MP's interpretation. Could you tell in the dream what caused the heel to break? That might tell us something more.

God given dreams often have positive and negatives revealed. We must watch out for flattery if it robs us of God's message. Mirrors are symbols of "self" examination, and this the second symbol of "self" in the dream. The first one is the high heels that you fell from.

Bob's description is a fair explanation of high heel symbolism in dreams, and there is an aspect of self-elevation/pride (as "we" choose our shoes (and our paths) and "put" them on ourselves .."putting" on the whole armour of God is an action "we" do ourselves per Ephesians 6)..this self-elevation in the dream is further confirmed by being "taller"/elevated in the dream. Within the hearts and minds of Christians... we decrease as God increases in us. It is His stature that we elevate. The most common symbolism for shoes in Christian's dreams points to the condition of our walk with Jesus and points to the condition of part of our armour. Since our feet are to be fitted with the gospel of peace, check to see if there is a lack of peace (lack of receiving or being enough of a deliverer of peace).
After we put on the armour, we are told to "Stand". It is easy to stand firm if we are in the right shoes, but /too high/too fragile we fall and you fell off of yours. Hoever, you will see that it will be a good thing for you, and those who are around you. Falling cannot be interpreted as a good symbolic actions, unless God causes it. It is then a gift. Falling off of self elevation and the breaking off of it (breaking high heels) is a god thing...a type of divine correction if the end result is spiritual improvement, and in this dream there was both improvement and empowerment. I say this because falling gave you the ability to see what was going on symbolically underneath (the bench, which is a clue not to rest, but instead, fight the good fight) and then at that point the good part begins to be revealed...you were able to find another pair to of shoes (I would be interested to hear a description of that pair), you were able to discern the rise of evil, and you were able to kill/destroy them. You the said "One of them was leaving out of the front door (points to it going out into the public), but I got there before it got out and smashed it between the door and the door jam." You smashed the head (authority/power) of the enemy in your situation, and then other people began to help...you received "back-up". A good outcome for everyone involved.

LOL..you will have to come with me to visit CaptainKate .. I will stand between the two of you 5' wonders. haaa! I hope I never lose my high heels, OR my higher walk with Papa. If I had to make a choice though, I'd wear flats. My relationship with Papa is much too precious and important.
