Name: Dorian Godric
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Race: Human
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 175 lbs

Occupation/Position: Cleric of the Eyrel Priesthood
The Eyrel Priesthood is a minority organisation within Eyrel. Most of the citizens of this country fall into the four classes of farmers, traders, soldiers and scholars. To be sure, the Eyrel Priesthood does have churches in all the major cities and has several monasteries throughout the countryside. However, Eyrel's populace are often raised on the tenants of the Law, which is enforced by city guard and the Order of Paladins alike. As a result, generally Eyrel's society does not have much need of the Priesthood, save in healing the sick and for those who are overtly religious. It is in this healing side of the Priesthood that Dorian works.

Appearance: Dorian is attired in the standard hooded white robe for all members of the Eyrel Priesthood. When travelling, Dorian wears a polished steel cuirass under his robes, gifted to him from the Eyrel Order of Paladins. In addition, light chainmail, leather breeches and boots provide him with an extra measure defence. Over all of which he is cloaked in his white robes, so that only a cursory glint of his breastplate might give away his true familiarity with combat.

As a priest, Dorian has a shaven head, which is a symbol of humility and submission to God. He has a closely shaved black moustache and goatee. His eyes are clear blue, luminous and thoughtful. Dorian stands at about 5’ 11”, and is of medium build; about 175 lbs.

Personality: Wise, reflective, humble, slow to anger, easily frustrated at the mundane, likes to laugh, loves what is true...more info to come later.

Weapons/Wargear: Although the monks and priests of Christia are often thought to be quite harmless due to their pacifist ideals; this is not always the case. Some, such as Dorian, are trained in such weaponcraft as would offer protection when travelling, the defence of their chapels or for combat against demonic and undead foes. In fact, paladin orders often have close ties with priesthoods on both spiritual and martial levels.

Dorian's favoured weapon is a magical warhammer called the "Hammer of Smiting". It was forged from a silver alloy that allows better enchantment than most items. The runes upon it cause the weapon to send shockwaves with every mighty impact it makes, knocking enemies off their feet in a blast of air pressure. It would normally be quite a heavy weapon to use, due to its massive head and thick haft. However, it has been imbued with an additional magic that causes it to be much lighter in the hands of its only true bearer; Dorian Godric.

The history of this enchanted weapon has mysterious origins. During his time involved with hunting down the necromantic cult infiltrating the catacombs of Kelamir, Dorian became lost in a veritable maze of ancient tombs. All was pitch dark and the muffled cries of things undead were his only company. As he blindly fled down gloomy corridors, Dorian prayed desperately for a glimmer of light that might lead him to saftey. Not a moment later his prayer was answered as he came into the central vault where the bones of long dead Kings lay. There upon a pedestal was a master crafted hammer gleaming with an ethereal light. A metal plaque was inscribed with the writing; 'Dorian Godric's Hammer of Smiting'. It felt perfect in the cleric's grasp and he turned to face a horde of shambling zombies and leering skeletons. Instinctively he slammed its head upon the ground in a thunderous blast that shook the tomb violently. When the smoke cleared the undead lay unmoving upon the dusty ground.

Skills: Apart from his devastating skill with his enchanted warhammer, Dorian has been trained in an ancient martial arts style that focuses upon using as much force as possible with little strength. The angle and positioning of the hands is emphasized as is stance and reflex. His meditations at the monastery has also infused him with a natural resistance to basic magicks. Nevertheless, Dorian's main prowess lies in the art of healing. He is able to restore wounds with 'holy' magic, not unlike that which the Paladins use, albeit with a higher level of potency. Dorian also knows many spells that bind or exorcise the demons and other fell spirits that haunt Christia. Most of Dorian's magic repertoire is listed below in order of basic spells to expert magicks.

Spells:
Night Vision - With this spell in effect, the caster is able to see in the infrared spectrum but also with the added benefit of seeing creatures of darkness; eg. demons, wraiths, etc.
Holy Bolt - This is the most common usage of holy energy as either an offensive attack against undead and demons, or for a hasty battlefield healing.
Haste - This spell enables Dorian to move at up to 1.5 times faster than he normally could. The caster will use up their vigour as if moving at normal speed.
Bless - By the laying on of hands, Dorian is able to bestow a sense of calm and clarity to a person. It effectively augments a broad range of battle manoeuvres such as firing a bow, wielding a sword, etc. In addition, this spell removes any curse or doom inficted upon an individual or environment.
Courage - The courage spell will magically induce a state of mind where fear is defied to accomplish great feats of bravery. This spell will not diminish fear itself, whether caused by natural or supernatural means, but will allow the person to act in spite of their terror.
Vigour - Much like the Bless spell, vigour instead enhances the actual physical and mental attributes of a person including stamina, willpower, strength, agility, etc. The caster has to specify which qualities he will be focusing on within the spell.
Shield of Faith - A shield made of magical alloys slightly stronger than steel. It is resistant to other magicks and natural elements such as fire. The shield manifests on the caster's left arm.
Smite - Smite is basically an improved version of the holy bolt whereupon a large blast of holy energy is fired upon enemies from either the caster's hands or from overhead.
Holy Aura - The caster can imbue himself with holy magic so that any demons or undead that touch or are touched by him are repelled. Additionally, any undead that come into contact with him will have their necromantic constraining magicks undone and will promptly collapse in a heap of bones and rotted flesh, released from the necromancer's control and simply dead.
Cure Disease - This spell at its lowest level can cure most common diseases and at its highest may slow cancer and other severe afflictions.
Neutralise Poison - If a creature has ingested or is superficially infected by a poisonous substance, Dorian can use this spell as a rapid working antidote. However, due to the fact that there are a multitude of poisons in the world, this spell is not necessarily a guaranteed cure.
Purifying Air - A purifying air spell releases a cloud of pure air that purges any toxins or sterility from the surrounding atmosphere. Dorian can work this to a radius of fifteen metres.
Heal Wounds - A broad term which includes the restoration of torn musculature and nervous systems, mending broken bones, replacing lost blood count, cleansing infected wounds, and weaving skin back together. Dorian is extremely proficient with this spell and is able to heal many at little magical expense.
Exorcism - This spell enables Dorian to cast out any malign influence holding sway on one specific creature. This is particularly useful for demonic possession but can work on any domineering magic.
Bind Demon - The caster is able to paralyse a demon whether in manifest form or possessing another creature.
Conjure Aeonar - Dorian shapes a sentient creature of holy energy which he then controls by his mental capacity coupled with magic expenditure. It usually takes the form of a massive angel made entirely of blazing light.
Banish Demon - The banishment of a demon to the Abyss is a time consuming and magic draining process that is near impossible to use in the heat of battle. However, if some of the spell's force is used in such circumstances, it may encourage the demon to leave; much like the exorcism spell. If the magic is completely successful, the demon will be forced into the chains of everlasting darkness in the depths of the abyss.

Biography: Dorian was born in Kharilin to a wealthy Christian family who had strong ties with the Church. At age sixteen Dorian entered the priesthood and took his vows of chastity, obedience, etc. against his parents’ wishes. Initially, the young priest lived in a monastery near Kelamir but was soon called into the city to become involved in the hunting down of the necromantic cult infiltrating the mountain catacombs. Dorian became a Cleric after his exceptional healing skills were noted and the cult was destroyed. For seven years he taught apothecary studies in Kelamir from age twenty-five to thirty-two. After which Dorian was then transferred to Mehn to replace the local Cleric who had died of old age. He has served there for two years to this date and is now embroiled in the glorious quest to find the Fountain of Youth.
