Doomed

I was thinking maybe if I just try to trust God even if I doubt he exists mAYBE he wiill not send me to hell but I cant know that for sure so how can I not tnink about which the eqvalent of not trusting and how can I not worry about if we just end which is also not trusting God. I am doomed to hell.

Oh now, I don't believe you are doomed to hell. You want to believe? You yearn to have faith and trust and believe? This is how I feel, and I've done some reading through links here and there (posted on this forum) and feel that this must mean I have faith. The very fact that I pray and ask for faith and want it. The fact that I don't want to have doubt, any or a lot, means that I have faith.

I don't feel saved. But, God promised me salvation if I accepted Christ. He didn't promise I'd feel saved. Then again, I can hardly trust my feelings at the moment and must rely more on logical thinking. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

I just said a prayer for you Raven.

I also have a terrible attraction to something it is one of the most hated things. How cam God forgive me for lusting.

I used to be there, quite often. But I guess it took a turning of my life inside out to change that. It still rears its ugly head every now and then. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes not. >.<

I'm not sure how God can forgive us for the things we do. I beat myself up over not being perfect, or for failing Him, all the time. Thank fully, our God is a larger than life God and can forgive us even when we think we are unforgiveable.

You need to develop a closer relation with God.

So my advice: Pray,pray to Jesus so he can help you out,try to seek a good church near you,and read the bible,preferably the gospels of Matthew-Mark-Luke (and Joshua but it is a little symbolic and a little harder than the others).

And about the "lust" thing, it wont go away fast,it'll need some patience.Just try to make an effort not to, everytime.And I'm pretty sure things will change after reading the bible from your heart because it will influence you.You may not stop it immediately,but it will decrease,and you wont feel much need for it anymore.

And we all sin,so dont worry,you arent alone.Confessing from the heart will take away the sins as long as you choose not to repeat them again after confessing,and at least improve a little.

You're not doomed because you don't want those doubts and those attractions. They're there exactly because you don't want them. If you wanted those lustful thoughts and wanted to doubt then you wouldn't feel distressed about them, and they wouldn't stay in your brain. That's just the way the OCD brain works

Your itty bitty schred of faith is all you need. The Bibles says that even if a man believes in the name Jesus they will be saved. Also you have to trust me on this. I have seen satan before and if he exist's God does. I'm not here to publish a book or tell lie's. I have alot of faith that I wish I could just give you but just trust me on this. He exist. Think about the concience and how it effects us when we do wrong. There has to be a God to put that there.

I have seen him. The most beautiful light I have ever seen. Makes your skin look perfect when it touches you. But, like I said your already doubting believe me I have seen him.

I do not like that I have the attraction but I must like to look at the things I am attracted to or I wouldn't look. I also want to trust God but how do u not think about no afterlife and going hell if u fear that.

I love that verse. You want to do right, but can't, but thank God for Jesus Christ. Everyone sins, and once is enough to send someone to hell. But accepting Jesus is enough to cancel all those sins. A lustful thought, even if it absolutely horrible is still sin. Jesus' blood covers sin, period.

I fear he is going to send me to hell because I don't trust him and relax I am constantly worrying about no afterlife or going to hell for doubt it shows no trust at all and I feel that is most unforgivable to God.

Well what you "feel" does not determine the way things are. The feelings feel very real, but they're really exagerrated quite a bit. This exagerration of risk grows as stress levels rise (and as you continue to wrack your brain on all of your obsessions and compulsions.)

I don't want to repeat myself too much, but I know that I've already said doubt does not equal rejection of God, or loss of salvation.

No matter what you fear, feel, or think, you're trying hard to get to a point where you can have faith in God without any worries. Even if you're not convinced that that proves you have faith, you still have to give yourself some points.

But I am not showing any faith or trust because all I can think about is no heaven. He is going to look at me and say u had no faith u worried all the time about me not existing=no heaven depart from me but I can't stop worrying about it is not solving anything to worry about it but I can't get my mind off of it I want to search and ask people about there nde to prove it exists.
