Don't you know that some of us will judge angels?

I'm not sure what it mean we will judge angels, but it can be talking about the fallen angels.
Another thing is if you start reading from 1 Corinthians 6:1 and continue to read to 6:11 you will see Paul is talking about lawsuits and taking a case against your brother with the unrighteous.

We are always supposed to turn to Jesus for our help. Hebrew 10:30 For we know Him who said, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY " And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."

Hope this somewhat helped you.

Yes, of course He knows.

Paul is saying that we are being equipped to carry out a role in the final judgment. God has enemies in the unseen realm - evil angels are those powers that rebelled against God. Ephesians 6 points out that our war is against these very powers, too. Our enemies are no longer worldly enemies; but those of God.

Interesting how God casts us in roles at the beginning, and casts us in a role at the end of the great eschatological story of light and darkness.

I like Max Lucado's book, Facing your giants, he says that David facing Goliath is like us facing our troubles or enemies. He said when you focus on your Goliath, you fall, but when you focus on God, your giants fall. Not even moses could go before pharoah without the power of God behind him. God bless you, brother, thank you for the insight.

There is a theory out there (I have absolutely no clue if this is true....) that when we get to Heaven, it will not be a place where we simply lay around, but we will be given responsibilities. (Parable of the Talents, "put you in charge of many things", etc. Matt 25:21)

Kind of makes you wonder if this life is training for our job to come. Maybe we should take this life a little more seriously...

Amen, brother. "you have been faithful in many things, I give you charge over 5 cities.", or about those lines. Yes, I wonder if I will still be a cook, or if there is an awesome skatepark in heaven. Anyway, whatever it may be, it is surely going to be awesome.

Kind of makes you wonder if you would live your life any differently if you knew you had an eternal job to do instead of just trying to reach an endpoint when your days are up here, doesn't it?

I don't care if I end up the "golden street sweeper". I just want in.

Hey, what about the palace polisher. If one of our most prized rocks lines the streets, then what of the buildings?

I kinda think heaven will be paradise as it was in the garden before the fall.

There may be things to tend to but I doubt it would be laborious or toilsome.

It will not be toilsome, because Adam did not have to toil for his bread until after the fall. Sin entered the world, and after there will be no sin, so in eternity, there will be no toil. Besides, the lord will be our light, no more need for the sun, right?

Rev 22:1-5 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city and his servants will serve him. They will see his face and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

See you there!

Thoughts on this. Who will judge, what the angels are, if they are fallen, the ones that rebelled against God.
Well yeah, that is part of that passage. Though it is significant, it really is not the purpose of the passage. True, the Bride (Church) of Christ will co-rule with Christ and will even judge Angels (of any type), but what now of the things of this world, today? Can we not discern between right and wrong now? Is this not something we should be striving to understand now since later we will judge the greatest of God’s creation even down to our daily lives as it stands now? “How much more, things that pertain to this life?” (1 Cor 6:3b).
