• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Don't know where to start.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this. Am I chronically ill, I don't know? I suffer from back problems, to allergies and asthma. To anxiety and depression. My main issue right now is dizziness. It comes and goes, meaning it's always there, but is sometimes worse than others. No doctor can give me a straight answer about why and how to manage or rid myself of this. My main problem right now is where to go from here? I need to speak to someone who's been down this road (or similar). I'm fighting (if you call it fighting) to get disability. I have an appeal coming in February. I don't have a lawyer or much credible evidence that I can't work (well, anyway). I don't have much in the way of insurance and don't have the money to see specialist. It's also hard to travel long distance to get help. Like I said "well, anyway", I can work. I work about 6 hours out of the week. Could I work longer, I don't know. The main problem with doing so is that my government assistance would either be none or very little, and if I'm not making enough money I'll be in worse shape than I already am. I can't win. I just need help making the right decision and how to do so. Thanks for listening, I'm sure there are many more people with much worse problems than me. It's a hard life that we live.

Aspireman,

It sounds very much like you could have a fungal infection in your blood, likely related to candida overgrowth, aka Candidiasis. This is very treatable, although not easily so by modern medicine. Most people have this due to eating too much sugar and starch. I got a major flare up eating too much honey.

There are 2 remedies for this I can suggest:

1) Try the turpentine remedy, as directed by Dr. Jennifer Daniels. You can Google and Youtube her name, and download the free "Candida Cure" manual. Don't worry. I've taken it for over a year with no side effects. A doctor friend of mine took it as well with positive results. It's cured me of candida overgrowth and the eczema I had had all over my body. Take it as directed. You can get a can of pure gum spirits of turpentine from any hardware store for around $8. It's an essential oil of the pine tree. It's used as paint thinner... But so is water! Candida is nasty and can cause all sorts of health problems. Turpentine will kill other blood borne microbes as well and has been used for centuries. The same goes for certain grades of kerosene, which is not as accessible as turpentine.

2) Lugol's Iodine. Iodine is a potent anti-microbicide and is one of natures best kept secrets. Actually, the FDA and pharmaceuticals have been concealing it's effectiveness. You can buy Lugol's on Ebay, because you won't find it in the stores. The FDA made sure of that. Google "Walter Last" and "Iodine", and you'll find a wonderful article on Iodine.

These are cures you'll never learn from modern medicine. But it'll open your eyes.

You mentioned dizziness that comes and goes but is always present to some degree.

Are you having ringing in the ears? Hearing loss in one ear? Feeling of fullness or congestion in one of your ears?

Could be Meniere's disease.

As suggested above, it is possible that your dizziness is due to an allergy producing inflammation in the inner ear. The first thing to try would be to eliminate from your diet all foods made from wheat. Dairy and eggs might also cause allergic reactions. Reducing your intake of caffeine might make a discernible difference as well.
