Wow, all the ones highlighted in black I have either tried, done, or experienced. I'm trying here. After all, I am in a Christian forum.

SeekingSoul and Brinners...You'll be in my prayers. Don't stop your searching. I, too, felt God, through the Holy Spirit, seek me for many years when I was living apart from His will for my life. Looking back, I realize how BLESSED we are to be loved so much...to be sought so much! Our God is a personal God, and He wants His children to be near Him. That is just awesome to contemplate. Blessings.....

Lol, KJV... she must be Baptist. I'm Baptist too and I know, our whole church all love that version and they're all biased towards that version. Most versions will be around the same, I use a NIV Bible, it's easy to understand, but it's not so warped that it has changed the meaning, from what I understand at least. Your husband recommends a Catholic Bible which is significantly different from the other versions. IM me at my: metroidsax screen name on aim or just send me a message on this if you want me to go into the details about the differences. I'll be unbiased, my friend is Catholic so I know the history and all the differences. In short, the Catholic bible has more books, I would say they have extra books but some catholics may be offended if I call them extra (that was not sarcastic, it was sincere). The Catholic bible has some verses added on to some origional books also, the additional part is known as the Dueterocanical teachings by the Catholic faith, and the protestants (me) call it the... well I can't spell it write but it's the Apocryphia or something like that. Hehe. If this was confusing just IM me and don't feel wierd about it, I don't mind. (Also, bible gateway is a super cool web-site, you can compair the same verses in different versions and pick which version you like.)

That prayer, I am afraid, is too extreme. The following are practices that I hesitate to write off as Satanic, occult, or immoral, although I do not do any of them:
Dungeons & Dragons (really now! not unless it's an unhealthy obsession)
ESP/telepathy (could be a human ability)
Heavy metal music (see D&D)
Astral projection/soul travel (doers of this describe Scriptural phenomena like silver cord)
metaphysics/mind science (scorned by authorities, but could be explainable)
mind manipulation (politicians do this all the time...)

The KJV is mistranslated.
