  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We see the need, and roll our eyes because we don’t want to be bothered.

Proverbs 3: 27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. (NIV)

In the movie “Finding Nemo,” Dori and Marlin are about to be swallowed by a bird names Gerald who has scooped them up. In trying to swallow them, he gets choked. Nigel, a pelican, is perched with a bunch of pelicans watching this scene unfold. They agree that someone should go help, but no one moves. Finally, Nigel says, “Well don’t everyone go at once,” and flies off to help. The point is, he went off to help when no one else would. This happens to you and I every day. We see needs all around us and we have the power to act and do something about the need. Sometimes, doing this means that we are going to have to get out of our comfort zone and do something to meet a need, when perhaps we simply don’t want to . Let’s look at some ways this little passage can apply to our lives on a daily basis.
