Hi everyone.... in case you didn't notice... posts over General Theology are very scary. I want to encourage everyone who enjoy discussing reform theology to post here more often. What you all say? Should we boycott General Theology and start posting elsewhere? LOL

I think we should post in General Theology as often as we can stomach it, and run back here for R&R whenever we need too! Sure, 'arguing' over there usually convinced nobody actually arguing with us...but I'm sure there are hundreds of lurkers who might be persuaded by cogent reasoning as opposed to...whatever they call their reasoning.

Yah Jim. You and I have been discussing these issues with umm... a couple of dudes over there (two of whom I will not name), and yah... I'm really getting sick of it too.

I think I'm gonna take a break from being over there. I'm gonna just pray for all of those people, that God will reveal to them the truth about His love, His wrath, and His glory.

Wiping the dust off my feet, and keeping away from now on, to the glory of God, of course,

Randy

I hang out in the GA forum as much as possible. In the GT, you can make the case of casting pearls, however, given that we expect the lost to act "naturally" and it is still our duty to be witnesses of the kingdom of God, we can't hide behind that verse.

All the blood on the ground there makes me nauseous.:sigh:

Actually I spent a number of years on another forum where there were lots of Anti-Calvinists and I am tired of debating with those folks. This place is a nice respite.

I am not ready to return to that kind of grueling forum now.

In Christ,
Kenith

When things get nasty, I say only post relevant Scripture.

That's what I've decided to do! I don't plan on doing more than that anymore.

The very first time I posted in there, I was brutally attacked, quoted line for line and vehemently refuted, and words were repetedly thrown into my mouth... It was very nasty. I was so confused at how people who claim to be Christians could have such a viscious attitude. To be honest my felling were really crushed at first; It was very discouraging. :sigh:

So...I'm pretty much done with that place too {Same goes for Christian Philosophy and Ethics!}.

God Bless,
Erin

I think I know with one of them you are talking about. I had problems with her too.

Yeah, She was getting kind of feisty so I offered to discuss the issues with her via PM, but she never got back to me...

And happy birthday, Jim!!! My birthday is next week also!

She only challenges in public rather than privately. Lately, I simply ignore her because she ignores what I say. No matter what I say, her sayings are final.

Thanks for the Birthday!! Next week will be your turn !!

Can't wait! I will finally be 20!!! Haha!

Anyway, isn't there an option where you can ignore a certain member? Does it mean that you wouldn't see their posts, or does it just refer to private messages? Because if that's the case I would like to start putting some certain peoples on my ignore list! :D

Yah. I'm through with GT for a while. The soteriology one is fun, but hardly anyone goes in there, maybe because they don't know what it is LOL....

Happy Birthday Jim, i hope that day goes swell for you,

To the glory of God,

Randy

Wow. Seems we December-born are taking over. Most of my friends have December birthdays as well.

Every once in a while, I feel like I don't have enough problems in my life, so I head over to GT and pick a fight. I'm getting used to the peaceful life at SR, though.

Happy birthday to both of you! Enjoy your youth while you have it.;)

As for Gt, I post there only when i have something to say. At the moment I am simply asking questions which I hope will lead to serious thought concerning Arminian theology. I have found it to be effective in getting one to think about what they say. At first they always parrot what they have been taught but eventually they must honestly answer the questions. Of course I am often ignored.

Woah, my elect brethren and sistren.... whazzup with the sound of retreat?

Take the light of sovereign grace out from under the Semper Forum bushel and shine it forth.

If we don't have something worth explaining in GT and GA, etc. then this holy huddle needs to be shut down. The thought of Calvinists hiding in a corner is unthinkable.

So take some encouragement from one who is himself a petal shy of a TULIP...

Go forth and gracefully articulate the sovereign grace of God in the marketplaces of CF.

My goodness, there are lurkers lurking... adorn the gospel of grace and proclaim it louder than a whisper.

Exurge, Calvinisti, et judica causam tuam...
